I hope the "curve" you recently received is not too serious. You're such an amazingly talented card maker and teacher. Your videos are always tops for artistry and video production. Sending healing thoughts, Susan
I'm so sorry to hear that you are dealing with 'life' issues. Whenever life throws me a curve a try to focus on the future and look to a day, week, month or even year ahead and focus on 'I will get through this' and things will be okay. You have always been an inspiration to me and I hope I can share a little good cheer with you. God be with you and yours and see you through these days.HugsKris
I absolutely love your videos and appreciate sharing of your amazing creative talent. However, you and your well being is top priority, so please focus on that and we will ALL wait for you. God Bless you.
Love this technique! So pretty! You are so talented and creatives! Thank you for sharing all your awesome ideas! Hope everything gets better for you real soon! ❤️🤗
I love this technique! N I really liked the affect of the glossy accents, I was trying to figure out what you used to make it look like that.. So pretty
Jennifer, I hope that you and your family are okay and that things are on the improve. I love, love, love these cards. I am a sucker for glitter and the pop of colour against the white card stock just sets it off. Thank you.
Thanks for the video/technique... I hope things are looking up for you, or hopefully will be soon. I love all your videos... they are worth waiting for! xox
Just an FYI Elizabeth Craft glitter is made specially so that you can use Copics without damaging your tips. You can also stamp, and emboss on EC glitter 😊
+Beau DeLeon Good to know. I just tried Stampendous ultra fine glitter with Bic markers and the glitter rubbed off in some areas with the pens, even when glitter was pressed in and swiffered. Not sure if it is the pens or the glitter! I tried last week with Spectrum Noir (and different, chunkier glitter) and it was fine.
PJ Stewart It is how you are coloring onto the glitter. If you go back and forth too much in one place, the alcohol will start pushing the glitter around and make the adhesive loose it's tackiness. They recommend that instead of coloring in a back and forth motion, that you do kind of a pouncing motion so that it isn't pushing the glitter. You can then put two different colors next to each other and then use your blender as an actual blender. Doing the pouncing motion (like a shimmy between the two colors) to actually blend them. It is the only way I have found that Copic Blender actually does what it says it's name is lol. However, I don't think that Bic's would work for this just because the nibs are too stiff and can push the glitter around much easier. But I could be wrong on that. Hope this helps and good luck :) I would like to know if you did get the bics to work well on your project though.
+Beau DeLeon Thank you for the 'tips' on the tips! :) I did try Jennifer's other suggestion that I try coloring before applying tape and glitter, and that worked pretty well for the coloring with Bics, although I couldn't get the blending to go well - lol - and the effect wasn't quite as nice. I hadn't thought of the blending pen, so I will try again soon, with pouncing, blender pen and Bics or Spectrum Noir and try to post when I do. Thanks again! Fabulous ideas by Jennifer, as always!
Sorry to hear you have had a set back, hope things are looking up. I'm a bit sad to hear that you felt you had to apologise for not posting. I love our posts and whilst I might miss them if you didn't post as many I'm grateful for everyone. Your life comes first and we are thankful for every post you make. Take care.
Missed you!' Nice to have you back. Think I'll give the inlay technique a try to send some cards to England. Their mail system doesn't seem to like lumps and bumps in the envelopes so have to be creative instead of using bling. Thanks. Any other suggestions? Welcome back.
Hope life improves soon - you and your work are missed by many - but real life has to take priority: don't rush back (that said, I can see it would be a welcome distraction too). R
I've tried this technique after watching a vid of a similar technique you did last year plus I think you linked to another artist's vid. I found the glitter was pilling off a bit. Thanks for suggesting coloring the cardstock first.
For the envelop you used with the yellow/orange/pink card (the white envelop), how did you get the back of the envelop to look like that curvy/wavy shape? Was it a special die cut frame? Thanks!
Jennifer, I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties. I'm a Christian and believe the Lord heals our hurts. I pray for strength to make it through. The video of course is great. I love this technique and hope to try it soon!
Prayers for you, I will be here when you are ready to be back with us. Your work is amazing, I do so enjoy watching you create and teaching all of us new things and new ideas. Hugs
