My favorite fighter. The defender is a total beast. Makes one wonder how the rebellion would have survived had the death star(s) budget gone towards multiple SSDs from the madator & executor class loaded to the brim with defenders with victory class and arkiadan(sp?) class as picket ships.
The TIE Defender was the single greatest starfighter ever made, closely followed by the TIE Avenger. The Empire would have been better off with the coup against that fool Palpatine succeeding, but that meddling Thrawn interfered and doomed the Empire to the ruinous policies of the Emperor and the later chaos of the Warlord era.

A Starfighter that had so much potential, a shame that it never fully had its time to shine due to the Terrorists (aka the rebels)
