The drummer lost his leg to this, overcame and endured hell and still found his way back to the drum kit. Incredible human, rest in peace to the deceased.

I worked security at a show they did in Raleigh, NC about a week before this happened. I went and ate dinner with them. The best part about these guys is they are so genuinely nice. The run they were doing was super unique. They went out alone, meaning they weren’t touring with other bands. Everywhere they stopped, they made sure 5-6 local hardcore bands were on the bill cause they knew they could draw a crowd and wanted to use their influence to help the smaller local bands. And they really didn’t demand much from the venues they were playing, cause they wanted the local bands to get a better payout than they would usually get. It broke my heart to hear about this wreck so soon after I had spent a few hours hanging out with these guys.
Glad you enjoyed this song!! TGI is my all time favorite band of this genre of metal, their music got me through a lot of dark days. Basically I struggled with years and years of alcoholism and drugs and just lived in a state of complete defeat and hopelessness. One day I just had enough, I was just so sick and tired of being sick and tired. I made the ultimate decision to get help and now over a year later, I’ve completely come around. This band and many others like them got me through it(and my loved ones obviously). If you loved this you should definitely do a reaction to “One Choice” :)
This band gave me hope in times of need, helped me get trough tough times and i will be forever great full of them, i love to see that they helped other people 2. life can give you wounds but for me TGI helped me to heal those wounds faster than i could alone

Andrew almost gave up on drums after losing his leg and being partially paralyzed. His dad built him the rig he uses to still be able to use the kick pedal with his right leg. There was a whole video on it. These guys are beyond inspirational. They didn't come back for a buck, they came back for love the music. Shits wild.
Forever one of my favorite bands. Their song Chrono got me through a lot in high school and holds a completely different meaning for me now that I'm turning 30 this year. Definitely check out that song if you've never heard it. Lyrically incredible.

The live concert part was from their first show back after the crash. Such an great song and emotional video
i was supposed to go a show on the tour that they were on when the crashed happened and devestated to find out what happened. this was their first song back after the crash which was 5 years prior. when Jonathan screamed in the beginning i was brought to tears, but not sadness they were tears of joy. seeing some of the rehab videos from the guys was just awe inspiring. i hope the next song you listen from them is the opening to their first live show back at the Shrine Auditorium in LA, with the intro if you can find it. and just listen to the crowd when they come out. absolute chills.
Random fun fact, Andrew posted a while back and talked about how he wrote… I believe the intro drum tracks or the whole thing for drums but he titled it aftermath without thinking and then the accident happened

I only seen them live once a long time ago the screamer was sick and still killed it yes the bus crash was very sad the drummer lost a leg pretty sure his dad made a contraption to use the kick peddle with his stub very amazing was watching a video the screamer had to relearn how to scream the aftermath album was just say we are back I felt like a lot of the songs on there was about coming back pushing forward they lost a lot of fans but they are amazing try dear youth by them
i got to meet the band with a vip and they were really cool nice people. and if you liked the clean singing their recent album has alot of clean singing in it
