इस पुराने घर के छोटे से दरवाजे को देख कर सबके मन में एक ही सवाल आएगा कि इतने छोटे दरवाजे क्यों होते थे तो इसके बहुत से कारण है , 🍁 पहला कारण :पुराने समय में बहुत बर्फ पड़ा करती थी और कुछ ज्यादा ही ठंड हुआ करती थी इसलिए ऐसे छोटे दरवाजे बनाए जाते थे और छोटे खिड़कियां ताकि ठंड ना लगे और कमरा गर्म रहे ।🍁 दूसरा कारण: सभी लोगो के घरों में कुलदेवता होते है तो लोग झुक कर अंदर जाते है, एक प्रकार से वह अपने कुलदेवता का सम्मान करते है इसलिए भी छोटे दरवाजे बनाए जाते थे । 🍁 तीसरा कारण:पुराने समय में लोगो की मान्यताएं ये भी रही थी कि जो बुरी रूहें , चुड़ैल,आत्माएं होती है वे झुक नहीं सकती इसलिए ऐसे छोटे दरवाजे बनाए जाते थे ताकि वह घर पर प्रवेश ना कर सके ।

i am from sirmaur and we are losing our traditional architecture due to lack and high prices of wood...some govt policy..one shoe fits for all...and this type of architecture is best suited for high earthquake-prone area..wooden joints take all the deflection..plus they are really warm in winters during snowfall.
Completely Mesmerized by the beauty of this ancient house, The soothing factor is that the house is still intact. Just a little wear & tear. Older people were much wiser than us, the size of house shows their Providence. I have No doubts about the coziness of this house in all seasons. Simple but greatest engineering of all the time. You must preserve this gift for the forthcoming generations.

Ahhh what a beautiful home. Urch reminds me of my childhood days how we scared to not to go inside due to darkness 😄 ... and, about low height doors what my Koko ( means api calls in sangla side) told me that Dayan(rakshacha) can’t come inside room bcoz Dayan can not bend their back so low to enter in room ..the old told stories 😃 how much it is true I don’t know but we still believes it. 😜

बहुत अच्छा दिखाया आपने. बस एक चीज रह गयी. बडे दरवाजे के अंदर मधुमक्खियों का घर बनाने की जगह होती है और उनको आनेजाने के लिये दरवाजे को सटाकर ही एक छोटासा झरोका होता है और मधु जमा होने के बाद झरोखा बंद करते है तो मक्खियाोंका रास्ता बंद हो जाता है और हम हनी निकाल सकते है. वह सिस्टिम बहुत देखनेलायक है जो दिखाना चाहिये था.
