Thanks for the video. These kind of videos help allot. I'm doing a complete engine rebuild on my 02. Not looking forward too it but someone's gotta do it lol.
Just a quick FYI for everyone reading comments before trying, you only need to remove the air intake from the throttle body, then simply pop the entire airbox up and out intake tube and all, leaving the intake tube attached helps give added leverage to pop that side up
This is an amazing video. I have a Liberty 2006. It got gasket and may be Cylinder head issues as engine got heated on the freeway. I am getting quoted 5K+ charges. Mostly its labor. All suggest to scrap my car. I love this Jeep and I am looking to fix myself :). This video is an inspiration. I am a newbie, any suggestions like special tools, parts etc?
I have an 04 Liberty in the shop right now and if quote is that high I guess I’d rather get a semi new car then do this plus the paint work is oxidized but I have owned it for 14 years never stranded me on side of road.
Just put my 2004 Jeep Liberty in for possible head gasket work possibly antifreeze sludge, dripping underneath 174.000 miles had head gasket’s on this car about 8 years ago possibly doing it again will see tomorrow.
Pedro, If you were paying so much attention to examining the title you would have noticed it says Part 1, obviously a series. He did a nice job explaining the process
That Jeep is missing the breather lines that go from the back of each head to the air box .. very important breathers .. and the PCV valve was basically blocked off but the hose they had stuck over the hose.. its like $5 for a new pcv , why they would do that and basically over time ruin and engine , plus it running like crap like that because the vacuum is completely screwed up between the one their missing and the one they had blocked off.. ugh SMH .. 🤔🤔
Thank you so much for making this informative video is not easy working on the car while trying to record it.

Considering buying a 16 cherokee, needs a head gasket...would you do again? I'm good enough I think
Do you have to remove the timing cover to get to the head gasket. I don’t have the expertise to be doing that😂
@@jeremywhitten5205 yes unfortunately
My buddys got water all in the filler hole milk..He replaced water pump and stuff with no luck..
You’re a superhero.
