tbh, the only way I would see this work out is if Wu didn't kill any major players of Shu, or if Wu punished whoever attacked, kind of as a "lose one part to win a bigger part"
@@darknessknows1235 Agreed. Hell if this did happen historically I imagine it would be more like Sun Quan sending the most vocal anti-Alliance faction members to Lukou to be slaughtered by Shu so he can reforge the alliance without the internal politics
Shu: "Soooo... let me get this straight. You backstab us by allying yourselves with our enemy to try and kill one of our best generals, who is like a brother to our leader. And then force us into battle again, potentially wasting thousands of our men's lives and pointlessly sapping much needed resources all for the sake of a little 'test'?" Wu: "... Well, when you put it like that-" Shu: "We're in."
As we can see Zhang Fei taught her well
That central northern garrison sure has a nasty habit of automatically “falling” every other second, early on in this stage.
Realistically, this battle would’ve been an atrocious way for Shu and Wu to become allies again but it’s a video game so best not to overthink it.
I mean you're not wrong, as a test from Wu to check Shu's strength it isn't bad, but as a diplomatic strategy it's pretty awful.

@@pondr3225 Damn, man. I can actually imagine Sun Quan doing that. Chinese Warlord era is really cruel to think of.
That, we can agree on, Xaldin.
Fortunately Xing Cai didn’t forget her pants in DW9.

She never needed them anyway lol.
Got to agree on Xingcai , Xaldin .
They seriously need to fix her name to Zhang Xingcai.
