Out of all the Beatles, I think George definitely had the best house! It would be amazing if some time in the future it could be opened as a museum.

Last time I was at Friar Park was when my parents helped the Nuns move out to their new Convent on St Andrew's Rd. I was six and realised this was an impressive place in size and scale but I didn't realise how dilapidated it was. Possibly one of my first clear memories. I now live 200 metres from the boundary and not a day goes by without me wishing I could see this extraordinary building again. As a note there are other buildings in Henley-on-Thames built from the over order of masonry for Friar Park. These are stunning in their own right.

George bought Friar Park literally weeks before it was due to be bulldozed.

If you want a few intimate details of the early days of George at Friar Park especially during restoration, check out the Bobby Whitlock channel. He lived there in one of the lodges at that time and shares some fond memories of recording ‘All Things Must Pass’ and hanging out. This was of course the early days of Derek & The Dominos.

George must've felt cramped in that small house.

I wish they would do tours. I would be there as soon as I could. I understand it’s a home and it’s the Harrison estate’s decision.
The place looks like a wonderful dream.

When Sir Frankie Crisp owned FP it was open to the public for tours, or at least the garden's were open to the public.

It was a Convent for Salesian Nuns till around 1970 when the Nuns moved out to St Andrew's Rd and GH moved in.
