    Always loved the way the humbuckers look on this guitar, somethin about the more rectangular shape combined with the cream finish and more bulky look always stands out to me.

    Nice review man, I had one in the 70's cheap and not bad 'cept for the thinass neck pocket, sadly it was destroyed 😢 then comes Cobain and ⚡ instant 'collectable'. Fast forward to 2005, I taking out the trash and what do I spy with my wanderin' eye ? A natural phase 3 in the TRASH!🤯 mine,mine, MINE!🤣 roller bridge fell apart and missing vibrato arm but otherwise complete and original and in need of some TLC.🤔 As I'll never sell it... I'll give it the 'treatment' like my '00 Indonesia Squier bullet. I'm a packrat when it comes to my tars.😉

    Hey, totally unrelated to the video, but in your opinion should I keep saving for a classic vibe, or should I get a bullet mustang for playing hard rock, or "grunge"

    • @jq.guitars
      @jq.guitars  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! In my opinion, the Bullet HH would be the better choice, as the pickups deliver a heavier sound than the single coils you find on the Classic Vibe. For the sound you're looking for, a Classic Vibe could work, but you'd need to do some mods (TOM bridge, humbucker pickups, trem lock) which would just add to the cost. A stock Squier Bullet HH should be good to go right as you get it. I've owned a Squier Bullet HH myself.

    How does this stack up against the Jagstang?

    • @jq.guitars
      @jq.guitars  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Univox is much smaller and lighter, the stock pickups are awesome. The bridge isn't as sturdy, so you might want to replace it for a TOM. Univox has a 3 way selector, no additional switching options.
      The Jag-Stang is much thicker, average weight for a guitar. Stock pickups are kinda weak. Bridges work fine, though a TOM upgrade could definitely help playability. Jag-Stang has one switch for each pickup. On/Off/On. If the switches are in different on positions, you get out of phase. If they're in the same spot, you get i series.
      I personally think overall, the Jag-Stang is a higher quality instrument, but the Univox is a great sounding guitar without any mods done

    • @jq.guitars
      @jq.guitars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      £300 is roughly $415, so I'd say $650 (what I paid) is a good deal, considering this one has a refret (costs another $300), and the current market on these things is around $800-900. This one also came with Kluson tuners, and I hear the stock ones aren't that great.

    • @89schofe
