When someone is soooo good singing her songs, they felt threaten and repudiate. She’s good but REGINE VELASQUEZ IS JUST ON A DIFFERENT HIGHER LEVEL. The tone, power, precision, texture, resonance and projection on Regine’s voice is UNPARALLELED. Others may sing on the same key (or can hit even higher notes) as Regine but there is something unexplainable in Regine’s voice that makes her always a notch above everyone. REGINE IS MAGICAL!

May brilyo ang boses ni kat. There are lot of singers who can hit high notes but only few can touch me emotionally and kat is definitely at the top of my list. Her ability to send the message of the song accross the listeners samahan mo pa ng vocal technique na talaga namang pandayo eh ewan ko nlng talaga. Ive seen her 3 times already sa regular gig nya sa metrowalk and sobrang sulit ng bayad ko. Iba ang feeling pag live talagang babalutin ka ng boses nya.

Both were brilliant. Difference is in the goal of the singer. Regine's version is very sincere in giving respect to the composer Mr. Ryan Cayabyab and very sincere in story-telling and with her emotions. Her notes sounds very angelic and at the same time entertaining. Kat Velarde's version however seems intended to be on par with what Regine did. Her notes were high. I'm on Regine's side on this one.

Here is what I have to say. Regines version will give you emotions and belting. Belting that will leave u breathless. Belting is a thing but belting with emotions will make it more ethereal and will make it not so worldly. Katrina on the other hand, killed it as well. Katrina's belting and breathe control is the only one that can go closest to RVA on all of our singers today. Her lung power is undeniably amazing and powerful. She is the one who can try and nail a RVA song. Both artists deserve better treatment and love.

RV is RV, and we understand that she sets high bars for the new aspirants to achieve whatever she has accomplished in her entire singing career. Filipinos are good and tough singers and so KV. May brilyo ang boses ni kat. There are lot of singers who can hit high notes but only few can touch me emotionally and kat is definitely at the top of my list. Her ability to send the message of the song accross the listeners samahan mo pa ng vocal technique na talaga namang pandayo eh ewan ko nlng talaga. Ive seen her 3 times already sa regular gig nya sa metrowalk and sobrang sulit ng bayad ko. Iba ang feeling pag live talagang babalutin ka ng boses nya.

Both were brilliant. Difference is in the goal of the singer. Regine's version is very sincere in giving respect to the composer Mr. Ryan Cayabyab and very sincere in story-telling and with her emotions. Her notes sounds very angelic and at the same time entertaining. Kat Velarde's version however seems intended to be on par with what Regine did. Her notes were high. I'm on Regine's side on this one.

Here is what I have to say.
Regines version will give you emotions and belting. Belting that will leave u breathless. Belting is a thing but belting with emotions will make it more ethereal and will make it not so worldly.
Katrina on the other hand, killed it as well. Katrina's belting and breathe control is the only one that can go closest to RVA on all of our singers today. Her lung power is undeniably amazing and powerful. She is the one who can try and nail a RVA song.
Both artists deserve better treatment and love.

I hope we stop comparing our new generation's artists to RV. RV is RV, and we understand that she sets high bars for the new aspirants to achieve whatever she has accomplished in her entire singing career. Filipinos are good and tough singers and so KV.
