There's no secret to this guys, Norwegian skiers been training pretty much the same for the last 25 years. Off season, 750 hours a year, LSD (long, slow distance) once a week, 7 hours of slow non stop running in the woods, variations of roller skiing- 4 hours a day. Yes, lots of double poling. Then also skigang-training bounding up hills of different lengths/duration with poles. Rinse and repeat every week. Then early on snow focusing on cleaning up the crap technique caused by roller skiing.
Double poling is not classic cross country skiing, it is just double poling, perverts. And another thing, asphalt, concrete, you biting your legs' muscles into stone, that is so immature.
