I think the date given is wrong here. It should be May, 2006. Sonia was MP from Amethi till 2004 General Election. In that election she got elected from Rae Bareli, leaving Amethi for Rahul. Then, in 2006, she resigned from the post of MP and got re-elected from Rae Bareli. That by-election took place with the assembly elections of West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Assam. The footage is from that by-election campaign.
