      I was thinking of a crazy twin compound turbo to feed the blower actually. The engine would need so much money though so il have to shelve it untill I can afford it lol. Similar minds... I like it.

      @@TheUn-namedProject From my understanding, usually the blower is the choke point so what they do is they put it in below the blower And straight into the intake with flap valves to keep the pressure in the manifold. Could run it on low boost....commmmoooon... you know you want to.😅

      Hellz yeah I want too lol but the wallet stabs me when I have those impure thoughts lol. And the turbos, they have to be on top or the psi would fight each other and the higher one( the turbo ) would win and blow out the top.

    I didn’t think I would want to watch a video of an old engine being rebuilt, but you make it interesting! I could only imagine what you and my brother would come up with, if he was there 😂

    the love joy style shaft coupler you are using is probably way to small for the amount of power the blower will need to operate under boost. It takes around 25HP to compress 700CFM of air to about 10PSI not including blower loss and friction which on an old unit like that is probably like >20%. I think this a an awesome idea that is going to look cool but I would size the bushing based on at least 35-40HP.

      @TheUn-namedProject  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree with you, the reason I went that small was to keep the support bearing at the end of the snout low. When it fails ill look at a modified cv shaft perhaps. Thanks for the support!

    I don’t know if it will help but I think you need to put a stabilizer in front of the 6 crank pulley, I am worried that it will snap for the excessive pressure from all of the belts or the front baring will fail for the same reason

    • @TheUn-namedProject
      @TheUn-namedProject  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree with you. I am unsure if I can find one for the specific engine I got but sounds like a nice project to make one worst case lol. Thanks for your support!

    is one bearing on the snout going to be enough with a shaft that long? due to the belt tensioning and stuff... i was thinking you might need another one closer to the coupler

    • @TheUn-namedProject
      @TheUn-namedProject  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We will find out together my friend lol. I am sure the bearing will not last forever but I used the smallest shaft I thought was still strong enough so that the bearing would have the lowest speed. The coupler part im not sure but when it fails, I'll know for sure!! Thanks for your support !

    Did ya weld the pulley to the table? Is that what happened? Also, that’ll look pretty cool in your Honda Civic 😅

    Please correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that 8v-71 connecting rods aren't as strong as the 8v-92 due to them being naturally aspirated.

    • @TheUn-namedProject
      @TheUn-namedProject  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They probably are because the volume and displacement of the 92 are larger. This is a 7.3 idi though so I can only confirm this one lol.

      They make 8v-71 turbo applications. The piston crowns and cylinder head valves are the differences i can remember off the top of my head from na vs ta

    i'm wondering about slipping driving the blower with a V belt I expect you're going to have some pretty severe slippage that's why most of them run cog belts

    • @TheUn-namedProject
      @TheUn-namedProject  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I researched into that aswell. The reason they run cog belts is to run a looser setup. Vbelts are interesting in the sense that they have more grip the faster they spin because they get tighter. The old drag racers use to run the same setup as I got and went way fast that I ever hope to go lol. In anycase, if it works it works and if it don't ill fix it ! Lol. Thanks for your support!!
