@@supercelleas4667 Also another tip: the NOAA weather radio function destroys AM functionality on all but the strongest local stations in your area, so if you want to do some nighttime DXing of AM radio, leave it off or use a low-hour classic vintage radio from the 1930s or 1940s restored to near factory condition. Due to the differences between the ways AM and FM radio work, FM is obviously unaffected, but the blame for poor AM reception can by no means be placed solely on Midland, although I would have expected better from one of the most reputable brands in radio; due to the way AM radio works, it is stupidly easy to interfere with AM radio by simply trying to turn on a neon sign. People have also noticed a whine on AM/FM mode (I personally doubt I've heard it when listening to weather radio mode) with the volume turned down all the way when toggling the backlight button.
The WR400 eats the batteries like candy so I would keep it plugged in at all times
