Let's fix a failing test on WPT to make number go up! PR: github.com/Lad... WPT dashboard: wpt.fyi/result... Ladybird: ladybird.org/ GitHub: github.com/Lad... Discord: / discord
26:19 It turns out this change fixed almost 100 WPT referrer-policy test timeouts! I always find it satisfying when fixing a small bug like this ends up fixing a bunch of seemingly unrelated issues.
And at the end he demonstrates how you can contribute and do what he just did yourself. :) That could be fun but its kind of sorcery to me currently. Might not be ready for that quite yet. Actually I did a really basic port of ffmpeg to serenity a while back where I added some macros to the c library and stuff. That was interesting.
I'm so thrilled to see a new coding video from you. I bet you've been super busy with the recent LadyBird transitions, so this is such a refreshing indication that things are probably on track.
I've missed these, thank you for your hard work, it's always a pleasure to go thru your changes and improvements to the codebase. interesting to see this on a Mac, I miss linix!
15:45 - As someone who doesn't regularly use Copilot, it was awkward knowing what needed to be typed while waiting for copilot to make its prediction. But in the end, it did type it faster than I would have.
We're currently working on a bunch of bridging and support code. There's also an experimental HTML tokenizer in Swift happening. The idea is to start by carefully introducing Swift in some security-sensitive areas of the codebase like parsing. :)

Oh heck yeah!
WHF! We are so back!
*so* back!
I have really missed these videos. There is something pure about watching things be applied on a real problem from scratch that is deeply educational.

How's the Swift move going?
