Two things I want to add that I forgot to mention in the video: 1. There has always been an option to add the brightness slider to the notification panel, but it was never enabled by default until OneUI 6 & they changed it's setting position where you can enable it so that it's a lot more obvious to find. If you'd like to enable this on your Samsung phone just got to the quick settings panel, tap on the three dots in top right corner, Quick Panel Layout, & change brightness control to "Show Always." 2. There has also always been an option to quickly open the quick settings panel by simply swiping down on the right side of the status bar, but it's not as easily accessible since you also need to download "Good Lock" from the Galaxy Store & install the "QuickStar" module. Hope this cleared up some confusion. Thanks guys and super glad you guys enjoyed my video! 😊
I'm glad you updated an S23 model that wasnt the Ultra. I've been seeing coverage mainly for the Ultra getting this update and have been waiting for an S23 or S23 Plus to be covered. Thanks for the thoughtful review on this update with the Galaxy S23 Plus!
That slider thing for filters is exactly what Google Photos has. Seems like Samsung picked up some stuff from Apple and Google to make their gallery/camera app experience better through this update
Many users don't know that the camera leveling is already there on older OneUI if you turn on the grid line. It is just that the implementation is different and Samsung started to promote the new one, making it like it is copying the others. One more thing, the reminder is already baked into the calendar app on older version of OneUI.
Hopefully more people learn about the level line 🙏 And yes the reminders option has been in the calendar, but what I explained in the video is that it now doesn't take you into the reminder app when you try to open the page inside the calendar. All your reminders stay inside the calendar, that way you don't get kicked into the reminder app when you try to open it.
I think at 5.1 that camera leveling line is only in pro mode but not in other modes. As he said not in 6.0 it is in likely every mode of the camera. Thanks
honestly didnt know i had an update pending for this until i saw this video, thank you i am looking forward to some of the features u mentioned in video
Odd that they added that top right corner gesture to get to the panel but yet there has always been a gesture to do that: use two fingers at once and pull down from the top. I guess they just wanted to make it easier for Apple users to adapt if they switch to Samsung.
one thing i would love to see in future samsung updates, is the ability to change icon shapes. i know this can be done with goodlock, however, when changing it to rounded rectangle for example, it leaves a white border around some apps, which i find quite annoying. i would also like to see the ability to change the colour of the whole icon, which would cancel out the white border, and fill the whole shape. this can be done with icon customisation apps from the play store, but takes way too long to change every single app manually.
Hey, Facundo. I have been a subscriber and enjoy your videos. They are thorough and you explain so clearly. Today, I installed the One UI Beta 6 on my Z Flip 5. I was looking for some helpful videos and saw this one. Awesome explanation. I don't think I need to look at any more videos. Thanks!
Amazing review of the new update Facundo! Overall I like the tweaks and updated design. Although I still prefer a launcher just because OneUI doesn't have icon support from the play store, only their own store. One thing that bugs me though is that I wish Samsung would add a battery level indicator for Bluetooth connected devices in the status bar though. I've seen that done on multiple devices and it's such a simple and useful feature, and I don't know why every device doesn't have that. It makes it hard to tell how much battery your headphones have when you use them without going into the settings page to check the battery level. If anyone knows of a hidden setting or app that lets you do this, let me know.
Honestly, just in terms of the new quick-panel, i like OneUi 5 better so far. Remember, one-handed navigation was the whole theme which OneUI 1 was made for, and now they changed it back. Will definitely stay on OneUI 5 until you can revert the Quick Panel, imo it's useless.
fr, thinking of the same thing, why would they revert the only thing they did uniquely. seems like the market is just constantly going towards copying ideas from each other rather than make something new.
Bro I'm so happy I found this video that is so precise and very clear to understand about the new one ui 6 New subscriber I'm still sad my A32 is stuck on one ui 5.1 If only samsung changed its os update period to add the new android 14 😢
In general I like the changes overall! Also it's subtle and no one's really pointed it out but I do prefer that the new stock app icons have a slight gradient on them instead of just being flat. Was hoping for a more drastic redesign but better than nothing
Agreed! I think it defeats the purpose if I have to expand them every time. I wish there was an option to leave notifications like that one always expanded
u can change the clock style, font and even the text color in one UI 5.1 + U can have you're brightness bar in the quick settings panel edit: 2:45 that could also be done in one UI 5
I used to have a beat up second hand S9 plus (64 + 128) and switched to the iPhone XS Max (256) and it's been pretty good but I do miss alot of those little adjustments and "stuff". One UI 6 makes me want to get the S23 plus even more now. Maybe boxing day is the way
The one thing I wish Samsung would change on the home screen is the dock. I want to use the entire page completely free of icons or widgets. I just like the slick/clean look on the initial page, and then I have one or two pages with all my widgets. Thankfully, we have launchers for that purpose. But there are some features that do not work well with launchers or don't work at all. Great video dude
😭 It’s my 2nd time using an iphone I’ve been using this for 3 months but I really want to go back to Samsung because of their ONE UI, And I’m biased now I know that I prefered Android than IOS.
My biggest complaint when switching from iPhone to Samsung was the notifications, it's impossible to manage all of them so I ended up having to disable notifications for most apps. Hopefully this update fixes it! EDIT: Also the weather app, to dig deeper or find more information it always opens you to a new Chrome tab, whereas Apple's weather app handles everything inside the app.
@@bri4498right? Its so easy to do. All complain but dont want to do anything. Its so straightforward, just literally hold the notification of the app and "turn off notification button".
After my recent switch from iPhone I'm still not a fan of the notification style. There's probably a customisable way improve it but still pretty overwhelmed with how to do it all haha
The system needs more work and a much smoother experience. Samsung needs to pay attention to the small details, more polished icons, menus need to be organized better, transparency throughout the system needs some major work, widgets need to be polished and better ringtones and notification sounds. Also the weather widget for the lockscreen is much needed
I feel like the system is too cartoonish, a more mature system would be nicer. Im sure they can design the toggle icons and system icons better than this, maybe some bigger icons and more details.
I wish they'd let us customize everything within the Quickpanel. Personally I always have Bluetooth on, as for Wifi, I only use mobile data, so both of those giant tiles are completely useless :( Sigh let's see how it goes
Very nicely formatted video. I live in Korea so was able to get the beta update. I like the update except for 2 things: 1, the transparent notification panel really diminishes the visibility. 2, A lot of my favorite tools from Good Lock do not work :( I am now thinking about wiping my phone to go back to OneUI 5
Love your videos as always bro, clean and straight to the point,I have s22 ultra, will be upgrading to the s24 ultra, given the battery life is good. Thanks again brother
The issue with Samsung is their animation fluidity. In many places (not all), whenever there is any animation they should have an emerging point and when anything is closed it should merge again back to it's source. Instead of coming out of the bloom and fade away. That fluidity is missing.
@notjxdxn pixel and apple does it as well. You can't expect them to improve their UI by not implementing new popular features. Samsung has innovated their own features for years.
This was a good video but please invest in a lavalier mic or a my kind of mic Cuz the audio is ok but could be better and more clear. Just a suggestion purely based on my opinion of course.
samsungs betas usually go through multiple updates. you should consider doing another one ui 6.0 video once it officially releases since this video is ONLY about the BETA
Gonna miss quick toggle SIM switch for data, call, sms ❤ It was very useful when u r traveling and changing between different networks, u can switch sim instantly to whichever is given better internet speed.
My s23 does a strange thing. Everyday at 9 pm the screen turns yellow... And at 6 am, boom, it's white again. How do I fix it? Eye comfort shield is turned off.
I hope they fix the Keyboard and Remove the Limits of the Samsung Keyboard, like the 4 Language Limit, the 20 Max Pinned things for the Clipboard, the Spellchecker, and Fix the Issue where some emojis don't appear on the Samsung Keyboard and sometimes the Emojis glitch when you talk on Discord by example. And they add more Customization features for the Keyboard like changing the Color or changing the font etc.
Hopefully they will bring group pinning as we're only limited to pinning 1, it would be nice being able to pin multiple image and drag and drop that being able to group share rather than doing one by one
Two things I want to add that I forgot to mention in the video:

Out of the tons of videos talking about One UI 6.0 I was waiting for yours. Best summarization yet!
Your breakdown is top tier of top tier of the several I saw. Upgraded to my a53 and s6 lite tablet because i get about 4 years of different OS.
