You are the best teacher!! I have a great BIO teacher but when im preparing for an exam I watch your videos over and over and my grades have improved tremendously!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Why do universities even have lectures...This is honestly exponentally better than any lecture i've had, ffs education system :/ But thank you Bozeman Science, thank you very much.
In this video you are getting the breadth but not the depth. In my Plant Biology class I got sooo much more than this. He is a good teacher but this does not replace a good professor
taking a break from sending out applications this Friday night to learn about plant evolution after seeing some cycads in florida last week. thanks for the nice video :)
Hm, interesting. I read a current article saying that the evolution of angiosperms wasn't as dependent on coevolution with insects for pollination as previously thought. A survey of fossils revealed conclusively that they were already highly specialized and diverse BEFORE there was evidence showing that plants and insects began working together.
Thanks for video, it is really useful but could you please give more specific information because those are just very basic ones even though I am on IGCSE Thanks in advance
Not sure what triple fusion is, but I'm pretty sure double fertilization does occur in angiosperms. Mr Andersen talks about it in his video, "Plant structure"
The way that Plantae and there are other groups in way bottom of the phylogeny chart. The four groups that share a common ancestor are the bryophytes, ferns, gymnosperms, and angiosperms. It also shows the movement from water to land but they would contain similar characteristics such as the way that they get their food source and the structural features. They contain two life cycles in them where the stage of the sporophyte (diploid) and the second stage gametophyte (haploid) but they both take place in a multicellular process. They would use photosynthesis to make the food source that they need but also can undergo cellular respiration to release energy. _ thank you it was very informative.
Hi Mr Anderson My name is Tessa I am a gr11 biology student currently studying the four plants you have shown in this video. Can you maybe make a video going into detail on each of them? It would really help.
strange how cycads are classified as gymnosperms, but they do have a layer around the seeds. I guess it is kind of like how we now think turtles are descended from diapsid reptiles who lost the temporal fenestra
hello sir i have a question for you how brayophytes plants grow through gametophytes generation ? plz tell me through your video as quickly you can i cant understand this video
The gametophyte (n) generation is when the pollen (male) from the pollen cone enters the ovulate cone's (female) ovary and undergoes meiosis producing sperm cells (n). Meiosis also occurs within the female part's megasporangium which produces an egg or megasporocyte (n). One sperm cell (n) fertilizes (+) the megasporocyte (n) and grows a seed (2n) in the cone's woody protection. (n+n=2n) Once it's ready, the cone opens up releasing the seeds.
Haploid means half the copies of the chromosomes, monoploid means one copy of the chromosome. Some plants have more than two copies of a chromosome this is called polyploidy. Wheat for instance are hexaploid so each type of chromosome has 6 copies, their haploid (half set) is 3 copies of each type of their chromosomes. The haploid set of a diploid is of course one copy of each chromosome.
Haha, Khan Academy doesn't do it for me in Biology. For me it's Bozemanbiology + Princeton's Cracking the AP Biology Exam + Kaplan's AP Biolgy = hopefully a 4, because I need that for college credit!
i guess 2 main type in plant kingdom are cryptogamae and phanerogame. and cryptogamae include thallophyte, bryophyta and pteridophytae der is not a single word called tracheophytes
@sandeep88214 I kno I'm late but it's a... My bio teachers says there are 3 f specific to angiosperms that I must remember... Flowering, another f word, and double fertilization...
Used your videos in high school and here I am using them again in college. Thank you :D
I'm not alone! XD
AznCrazy95 same here!
You are the best teacher!! I have a great BIO teacher but when im preparing for an exam I watch your videos over and over and my grades have improved tremendously!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
You helped me through highschool bio, and now you are helping towards my bio Degree! Thanks a bunch Mr. Anderson!
Stop reading the comments and watch the video
No
I poo
Ya caught me XD
No thx 🤣
Who asked for your opinion???
Why do universities even have lectures...This is honestly exponentally better than any lecture i've had, ffs education system :/ But thank you Bozeman Science, thank you very much.
because they have to justify those 9K a year fees somehow....
In this video you are getting the breadth but not the depth. In my Plant Biology class I got sooo much more than this. He is a good teacher but this does not replace a good professor
Thank you for the simplistic explanation, your videos truly help me understand biology better.
Following AP Biology in high school, I still watch your videos for my college biology courses. I can't thank you enough!
*2020 assignments be like*
Cuz of the 🦠
not funny never gonan give u up never gonna let u down
and something forgot the lyrics but ur gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Why is this so much easier to understand then my professor
Thank you! I really needed this quick summary to polish up for my AP test tomorrow!
Thank you very much for helping all of us! Your generosity is unmatched...
Awesome and Clear explanations, i wish you went into more details !
Thank You!
Holla if you're here for your Biology course XD
holla
Holla
damn it excludes me cuz this is for my music class
holla

I've learn't more from you in a day than I have in a year.
You mean in 7 minutes and 46 seconds
Ap Bio had me like O_o Thanks so much Mr. Anderson :)

The exact replication of food is derived the scret on the premisis of Moses thrown
Very Nice Summary, keeps it simple for me!
Thanks for sharing
Just made my lesson SO FASCINATING THANK YOU ! I was desperate cause I didn't undertand a thing 😭😭
Thank you!
THANKS MR ANDRSEN!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you.
this helps alot in my agriculture course

Yess thanks sir!! Regards to sir dewitt! Haha i support!!
Thanks for video, it is really useful but could you please give more specific information because those are just very basic ones even though I am on IGCSE
Thanks in advance
YOU SAVED MY LIFE IN PLANTS!
"I love plants cause i eat them." ^.^ I love u Mr. Anderson!
Thank you!!!! :)
VERY EDUCATIVE THANK YOU.
Jack and Zuza say we wuv u - Luv ya Shento xxoo
Fantastic!! Really very useful..
thank you mr. andersen!!!!
Well done, thank you!

Before i got into high school i had always thought kelp was a plant
I'm just gonna stay up all night watching these videos for tomorrow lol
cramming for ap bio test tomorrow morning!
Howd you do?
very well made
Very helpful!
Thank you!
You helped me in my progect ty
"I love plants because I eat them"
Gonna need that glucose for cellular respiration through the process of glycolysis bro
Thankyou
sir,hats off for u...thanks alot
Do you have any video about similarities in cytokinesis between plants and animals??
whos here because they have to study for a test but never listened to what the teacher was saying???
He's a nice fellow but god awful in lecture
great video and explanation but me and this subject just don't get along
I love this!
I have a question, what are plants having odd mechanism in acquiring nutrients?
how did plants evolve? no explanation provided?
Be patient. It is coming.
lol, I got lots of time
same i have all the time in the world...
Luke Clifton i’m from the future. you’ll have all the time in 2020 due to quarantine
very informative
Hi Mr Anderson
My name is Tessa
I am a gr11 biology student currently studying the four plants you have shown in this video.
Can you maybe make a video going into detail on each of them? It would really help.
+Tessa Harmse He made this video 4 years ago...........
Just use a textbook
+Oh Sykezz
yeah you're right
Thanks!
Thanks, this video was a lot of help! :]
Does alteration of generations occur in both angiosperms and gymnosperms?
It occurs in all land plants I believe i.e. angiosperms, gymnosperms, liverworts, hornworts, mosses, ferns, lycophytes
the fact that the new cliffnotes doesn't come out untl april is seriously givng me anxiety
PLVS VLTRA
Mr. Andersen, are the two major plant divisions bryophytes and tracheophytes? Can you tell me more about bryophytes and tracheophytes? Thanks
strange how cycads are classified as gymnosperms, but they do have a layer around the seeds. I guess it is kind of like how we now think turtles are descended from diapsid reptiles who lost the temporal fenestra
Aren't ferns also called pteridophytes????
gamerdude612 yea
thanx
what were most of the questions about? do you remember?
Son u are now sun

and my teacher hardly knows how to turn on a computer..... :P
ha lol
Hard to believe anyone's still discussing theory of evolution.
Really? I like how Mr Andersen's videos are shorter, but it's nice to have Khan Academy too to clear up any confusion I might have left :P

Thumbs up if cramming for AP Bio test on monday!!
THERE WERE ONLY 1-2 QUESTIONS ON PLANTS. I SPENT SOOOO MUCH TIME STUDYING THEM ON MY OWN
helpful ass always thank you.
Here in 2019?
btw gymnosperms are no longer monophyletic
very helpful
where blooming trees fit here?
WE ARE SIMPLY PARASITES ON PLANTS xDD
nah
water potential video please
djis wya?

wait a minute meiosis is not the one responsible for female gametes and male gametes? why it says mitosis ?
biology class yaaaaaa

a) double fertilization
b) triple fusion
c) both
d) none
please do help me i have exam .pleeeeeese
Are you still taking the test?
Holla if are seeing this video in 2021
MR ANDERSON...... COME ON MAN... WHERES NEO
I’m just tryna do my homework that is writing a whole page and I only have a day left I waited until the last minute does anybody have any plant tips
