    1. Thank you for having a video about hooded eyes worth a model who had hooded eyes. Not having them, clients look at me like "how would you know", it's nice to have a knowledgeable video to reference
    2. Thank you for complimenting your client, accenting her features. Rather than saying "you have a thinner bottom lip", you pointed out how her top lip was slightly bigger so you were cheating it out a smidge.
    3. Thank you for listening to your client, and making her feel confident to ask questions. I've seen people treat their clients or friends like idiots for not knowing things we know through our education.

Stacha, thank you for being the model in this video. There are many tutorials on youtube concerning makeup for hooded eyes, but the artists rarely have a model who actually has hooded eyes to demonstrate on. It's so brave to appear in a video without makeup. But this look is wonderful for you and you look gorgeous.

Hi Lisa! I just wanted to thank you so much for sharing this video with us. I am a studio stylist for the ck One Color line and had a woman with hooded eyes approach me and tell me that, due to her difficult eye shape, she had not worn any makeup for over 30 years. I remembered this tutorial and put my best skills to work to mimic the look, and when I revealed the finished look to her she started to cry, telling me she hadn't seen herself look so beautiful for such a long time.
Just wanted you to know how your videos have touched the lives of many women out there. You are truly an inspiration and such a beautiful person, inside and out.
    Best,
    -Andy

To have your make-up done by Lisa Eldridge must be such a wonderful experience! Not only will you look amazing afterwards, but she also always points out those speacial naturally beautiful features that she finds in each of her models and which they probably weren't even aware of before.

You gotta read the "About" section with Stacha's words in it.
"What the media reflects as beauty and what actually is are two different things, very different, especially as what the media reflects is not actually real. It does not exist. That is what I hoped doing this video would convey. If you had met Kate Moss without her make up as I have more than on one occasion, you would see we are the same age. She is still beautiful, just different. Not unlike you. We all have great days and bad days with and without make up."

I loved the tutorial, the makeover was GREAT, but Stacha's own thoughts that were included were possibly the highlight. The world DOES look on the outside...all the more reason we must know and be confident in who we are individually. I'm happy to have found Lisa's site and this video in particular!

Personally I am quite attracted to people with natural genetic hooded eyes. I don't have them myself but I just find there is something really intriguing about them. We should embrace variety more and not try to make ourselves look like a certain type because it gets boring. I know changing yourself up a bit can be fun and by all means have a go but I think too many today are becoming more and more obsessed with looking a certain way.

I know this is an older video but I would just like to thank you Lisa and your model Stasha. She was already beautiful before the makeup was applied but she looked even more amazing afterwards. Like another subscriber before me has wrote, she looks as though she is about to go to a night out at the Oscars. I can just see her now in a flowing satin black gown with her gorgeous makeup. I also have hooded eyes and I've struggled with them for years that like just Stasha said I avoid eyeshadows altogether too. I will be trying this technique next time I wear makeup though. I'm so excited to see the end results. Thank you again, from Sarah. This is my husband Ian's account. ☺

please bring her again! Honestly, its easier to understand a look when the person who the make up is being put on to, is as curious about it as we are. That way, when she asks questions they would be exactly what we ask ourselves thousands of times when putting on make up ourselves at home. Hence, a more informative video!
None the less all your videos are my favorites. Please never stop them!! xx

The only difference between our eyes is size... mine are small... but also partially hooded, rounded and I also can't do winged liner. I have to go full Winehouse in order to get the smallest flick to show! Thank Dawkins that I'm not alone! There's only one technique I haven't tried for winged liner, and that's a video for hooded eyes and winged liner by Sharon Farrell here on youtube. I'll try and report back to you!

You have just helped me with this comment. I've been despairing of late, believing I'm just talentless and I just can't do my own makeup, let alone anyone else's... same sentiment as you...
I still can't wing my eyeliner and I'm beginning to think my eyes are just built so abnormally that it's never going to work... to get a noticeable flick, I basically have to go Amy Winehouse on my lids. The only thing I haven't tried is the tutorial for winged liner on hooded eyes Sharon Farrell posted. It's videos like this one and Sharon's that help bolster my confidence back up. I remember that I can work on others bc I've created some beautiful looks on friends with normal eyes.
Thanks for reminding me that just bc you may struggle with your own makeup, it doesn't mean you can't do it full stop.
Maybe one day I will make it to makeup school like you and perhaps get somewhere in the vicinity of Lisa's talent (never gonna happen but I can dream!)

Her eyes are wide set AND hooded. Hooded means you can't see the eye lid when your eyes are open because the skin folds over the eyelid.

That is a stunning look for Stacia, she looks gorgeous! I am 52 years old with hooded eyes and I literally just found out a few days ago that hooded eyes was even a thing and that this thing that I just discovered is a problem. Good thing I didn't know that when I was a young girl, it may have caused me some confidence issues. I love makeup and eye makeup in particular and learned to apply it as a teenager. The one thing I have never been able to pull off is a winged eyeliner look. I just chalked it up to the shape of my eye and never gave it a second thought. People always tell me I have beautiful eyes and I am asked repeatedly, even now at 52 years of age, if I can show people how to do their makeup, even much younger women. To the young girls and mature ladies alike out there, do not let a hooded eye erode your confidence or stop you from using eye makeup. Your eyes are beautiful and you can wear eye makeup just as successfully and look just as beautiful as anyone else!!!

She looked beautiful. Easily 10 years younger. Lisa is just amazing and I'm so glad she's willing to share her knowledge. So generous.
