Superbe travail !!!!
thank you! we started when we got him, he was about 3 months old. They are great, but not without having read some books about dog education. Like an old family friend and hunter said: there you got a dog to educate. true, i wouldn't want to know what he would be able to do without proper education.
well, Weimaraners have a reputation for high intelligence, so no general problems, and stubborness (intelligent stubborness :D), but when training those "play" tricks, he wants to understand everything, he adores and cooperates. when he does not understand, he barks, I start over and usually he understands. for example, "be pretty" is quite complicated because of his long back, we ´ve been training for months. now we start to do it at a distance and so I asked him to give me one paw at a distance, and then the other (visual signals), then the two together....there, at first, he was startled. explain again and it worked. On the other hand, "serious" tricks which demand self control are harder for him (go to your place and stay) and there he always shows his stubborn "let´s see if I have to stay....".
Jose Alegria As my mothertongue is German, I read those: ISBN 9783833811715 (Puppy education by K. Schlegl Kofler and ) and ISBN 9783440108277 (Dog training by M. Rütter). I also have others like Kyra Sundance (many many ideas for new tricks) and Viviane Theby: "dog university". I use positive reinforcement whenever the "good" movement starts to appear, and ignore "wrong" answers.

Did you have any problems with stubbornness or general problems when starting out?

I cordially invite those putting "I don't like" on this video to leave a comment on why they do so - it would certainly help progress!
who cares what haters think. I loved this vid and your dog!
What book that you read for learning trainning methods would you recommend?
