I’m already loving the fact your changing stuff in your new build , even despite it being new. You work hard and you only live once , so why not have the kitchen you want and love ❤️ (as I really HATE with a PASSION BRITISH new build kitchens , they are always bog standard and the same everywhere and lack character , lol I’m a Brit myself and my sister is a owner of a new build that she brought years ago )
I give you props to you guys , I have have never thought to just replace the cupboard doors 🚪
Can I ask , how did you find /who fitted the new lights / usb sockets , ( was it the same trademans who helped to build your house 🏡 or did you get someone different ??)
    They look beautiful 🤩🤩👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾❤️
I hope 🤞 not to be a pain , but would it be possible to list all the things you’ve brought ??

Thanks so much for your comment! I will try and find links and add the info about what we bought in the description later tonight! Great idea. Thanks for your kind words. We have already built a new bud in Australia and knew we wanted it to be perfect from the start. Covid delays and forced saving actually made that possible. We found an electrician by asking on our local fb community group for recommendations, same with the kitchen installers. The lighting and power sockets we bought ourselves online, same with the kitchen!

Thank you so much!!! I am so happy with it. It went from being a nice kitchen to an absolutely spectacular kitchen. Can't wait to show off the finished result.

The navy cabinets look awesome. Curious if you don’t mind, did it irritate you to see your brand new walls beat up for the new power points and down lights? Also did David Wilson offer down lights and additional power points as an upgrade? If so was it out of this world expensive?

Thank you so much and thanks for watching. It was very very stressful seeing the walls and ceilings absolutely riddled with holes. But it was absolutely worth it. We were never going to just have the original lighting and so it was better to do it before we had moved in (same with the kitchen) as it was less disruptive, it makes a lot of mess. But yes I was very anxious. In reality it's not the perfect patch job but we need to repaint in 6 or so months anyway once it's settled so will get it all perfect then. In regards to DWH they do offer it and yes it is prohibitively expensive. Ball park figure 4x more expensive. Same with the floors. We didn't like any of their options and even those which were the basic entry level amtico, were 2x more expensive than what we got which was a better quality product. Hope this helps. It's hard to do but in reality if you want it perfect from day 1 then it's worth it.

So good! Can I ask how many spotlights you ended up using throughout the home please?
Also how much the lighting ended up costing if you don’t mind me asking? We are thinking of doing the same with our place!
Lastly how long did the electrics take to do?
    Many thanks!!

Hi! Thanks for watching! We got approximately 60 spotlights. It cost about £500 for the lights and about £2k for the trades but we also got other electrical work done too.

What sort of blinds are them and how do they work xx

Hi. Thanks for watching. They are called Shottis blinds and they're from Ikea. They're about £3 each and you cut them to size. They attach with double sided tape and then Velcro at the bottom to hold them closed. Such a great solution for the short term.
