No offense but that preview of the Apple on DXO Photo lab took forever. On my Mac book pro M3 14'' entry level, with the ANE acceleration it takes < 1 second to show up. I would double check your advanced settings that you are using GPU acceleration. Either that or Apple's M3 is really that good I guess? ;-). But seriously check your settings. It should not take that long unless you are using all by CPU. And when you change the setting, you need to quit and re-run DxO Photolab.
@@Light_Camera_Story Glad to hear, would love to know if you found that the advanced setting was using CPU only and not GPU... and how it changes once you change the setting. If you are using a laptop or machine with built in Intel GPU, it would take longer than what I said, but still should be faster than using CPU only. The setting I am talking about for reference is in DXO Preferences-> Advanced Tab-> DeepPrime acceleration. Verify your GPU is supported (see the text below this setting). At least that's the UI on the Mac OS, should be similar on PC if you are using an AMD/Intel PC.
I am using an old HP Omen Gaming Laptop with a GeForce 1040 4 GB card. It's not great. It does however adequate job. I have patience because I don't fire my shutter like this is the end of the world. Lol. To give you some context, I mostly use my silkypix DS Pro 11. It's fucking slow. BUT, the JPEG fire it creates are just beautiful and natural. Nice colour fidelity, smooth Highlights to Shadow gradation. But again, you NEED TO stay calm like a monk.
The way you presented the video does sounded like you are not very familiar with both the software. I would rather you get more familiarized with both software before doing such comparison video, otherwise it will be rather injustice to both the software.

Exactly the review and comparison I was looking for. I'm trying to decide which one to buy.

No offence taken. Because your comment is constructive and fair. You are right that it's something to do with my system. I appreciate your input.

**correction : Jpeg file...
@@Light_Camera_Story I would still expect that GPU to go faster than the CPU. Did you check the advanced settings? What did it say?
The constant jumping around between screen views while you are talking at the beginning is unnecessary and nauseating.
Thanks for your feedback. It's just my style. Some likes it, some don't. I will slow down though.
