- The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has resumed in the High Court in Pretoria with the re-examination of state witness, Tumelo Madlala. The defence wrapped up its cross-examination yesterday. Madlala accused a senior officer in the murder case, Colonel Joyce Buthelezi, of being a liar. Buthelezi was part of a team that investigated the slain football star's murder and recommended the prosecution of the people who were inside the house at the time Meyiwa was shot during an alleged robbery at the home of the mother of his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo in Vosloorus in 2014.

I don't understand the purpose in asking him about cell phones and you only ask about language used by intruder only and not ask if they gave him the cell phones. If not why cos he said they were scared of the person he had a gun, like really how so ????
Also he has now answered the question about the time the intruders got into the house 🏠 he said the volume was alright cos they were watching soccer now it's no longer after a while so intruders came in while they were watching soccer. The question that he didn't want to answer all along hope the lawyers noted that.

The interpreter makes terrible mistakes on little but very important details by the witnesses. Eg. The last question whether the intruder had a hoodie on. the witness says the hat was no longer in the head of the intruder as he was having a struggle with Senzo. The interpreter only says the hat was not on. Look at how much value of information omitted. In my view, the answer suggests that the hat was once on but during the commotion it fell off. There are many other areas with similar ommitions
I fully agree with you and it could have been an important point for the defence to ask Tumelo as to did he see accused 1 outside before he entered the house
