I have a question for the top number do you listen for the first sound when the needle it going up or when the needle is coming down?

a lot of sources say that the first thump is sistolic, and the last thump is diastolic. what do you think of this?

Too me it kinda sounded like the diastolic stopped right at 76 at first. After replaying it though, I did manage to hear the last beats down to 70 even if they were very faint.
