My Dad acquired quite a few oddballs over the years. Mostly from the cable control years and Caterpillar's transition from gas to diesel. I plan on doing some walk-around videos of the collection in the future. Welcome.
@@clydebalcom3679 Yes... I have a subscriber of Toby's ( Squatch253) for several years. Can't really explain it, but my appreciation of classic tractors has spilled over into classic big iron. I'm old enough to remember seeing a lot of these still in use in rural areas, on farms, loggers, and construction. Then came the interstate highway system too.
Great stash and that book w yer pop skinnin Cat on cover is one of my faves! Loved that ed always wore an old "Mac T" hard hat! California Loggers standard issue! Cheers
@Jdigger4130 hahaha, you caught site of that nice book with the 13A; good eye. Dad has worn that old hardhat for years. I've got hours and hours sitting on the toolbox next to him on the 1H while he worked it on the ranch. Not the most comfortable seat by the way. He always had that hat.
Narrow grousers on 60” row crop beds possibly for sugar beet farming back in the day.
Thanks for the videos!
I’ll bet you’re right. At one time, sugar beets were a big deal in the Sacramento Valley.
That would be a fun build to restore.
Just came from Squatch's latest video, and here's another channel of CAT old iron. Of course, Instant Subscriber.

And me too!

@@jenniferwhitewolf3784, That is cool as hell. There's just no explanation that someone who doesn't love old iron can understand.

Are you in the SLO County area?
El Dorado County. East of Sacramento.
Timothy, are you planning to get that unit running? It would be quite the curiosity at shows
I just might get it running again. 5J1092 is first, then maybe this one if I have any good engine. Thanks for watching.
are you going to make it run
No plans to get this one going. It’s basically a parts tractor for my 5J1092 project. Thanks for asking.
