    Comparing their visions of each other is interesting. She envisions him perfectly, got his mannerisms on point. However, he envisions her as a courtly lady, polished and guilded.

      @kajamiletic3223 2 ปีที่แล้ว +232

      He envisions her as someone highly superior to him and aware of it. Which she kind of is: from the moment she gets there she criticizes his French, how the Russian people adopt French fashion, the lack of culture at the court, etc. He sees her as this superior alien being because in his mind she is always ruthlessly expecting more from him and he can't figure out what it is that she wants, but from an outside POV we see that she expects more or less normal stuff and it's him who's deeply fucked up.

      @@AmethystEyes Normally, that would be true, but it wasn't just Catherine's point of view, MANY who worked in the royal palace, nobles, and generals hated Peter, calling him a moron and someone not fit to lead. They made her makeup brown and not pinkish, and suddenly there’s sparkles on her hair. It’s almost as if she time travel to the modern day clubbing and came back cussing and swearing. And she’s always adorned with long sleeves and flowy dress, so this dress and her hairstyles are not her usual hairstyles.
