- The F-22 Raptor is the best air superiority fighter ever made! The F-22 demo is by far the best single tactical fighter jet demo in the world! Just add a summer rain storm in the early morning and my God is this one of the bucket-list airshow shots any aviation photographer would dream of, every turn nearly has a perfect vapor cloud!
Samuel Razz Larson has taken this demo team into the age of social media extremely well and I'm very proud of what this team has accomplished. I was honored to shoot and collaborate with him and his team while they performed in St. Louis Missouri at the 2024 Spirt of Saint Louis Airshow & STEM EXPO. I also got to meet Razz's parents who are literally his biggest fan and it really is cool to see a family unit at the airshow sharing memories!

Besides, I can't be spending thousands on a camera as a newbie.
Maybe there's some decent cameras out there for a reasonable price.

I was on a commuter flight as one of these went balls out straight up inside of 2500 feet. The Rumble as it launched? Wow! 40 thousand feet in under minute. Pucker Factor must be huge!

Whoa, wait, what are those little dorsal doors/flaps that opened and closed on the back of the aircraft?! What is their purpose, does anyone know? Never knew they were there!

This is a stealth aircraft so anything that is mounted on the wing will increase its radar cross section meaning the bad guys could pic us up on their radar to avoid that, the keep the missiles inside!
If you mean the set of doors on either side of the air refueling port, they’re overpressure doors for the engine intake… lots of fighters have them. You can google them.

Hey Preston, I recently found your photography instagram after attending an Australia pacific air show event and going down a rabbit hole of air photographers. I used a Sony A600 and a 200mm lens but honestly it just wasn’t enough. It worked but i was hoping you could tell me what you used or what you got contracted to use in this video? It’s so crispy and I would love the help as a beginner ❤

@@sabrinarosegreco hey Sabrina, thank you so much for the kind words. I recommend anything from a 100mm to 400 mm zoom to A 200 to 600 mm for Airshow if you’re going to shoot static display I highly recommend a 70 to 200mm. I personally shoot on the A7S three which is a very capable video camera, but I can get pretty good Airshow images from my A7iiii but that is more of a portrait camera.
