Five years ago, you wouldn’t have heard of many babies named Penelope or Ezra, but they’re rising in popularity once again. What about Adaline? Apparently, the name wasn't really used at all since the Great Depression, but since 2015 or something like that, it gained popularity and over thousand kids in the US were named Adaline. I'm pretty sure that's because of the Blake Lively movie "Age of Adaline" - and honestly, I'm glad it has a comeback, it's seriously such a beautiful name, old-school and very classy :)

De'Miyon or DéMiyon -- That boy is going to have a hard time with people misspelling and mispronouncing his name, even if they know him well. It'd be easier to spell it the way people are more used to seeing it, Damian. -- But at least he's got a definitely male name. My first name has always given me trouble and I go by my middle name. My last name always gets misspelled and mispronounced, so I'm always surprised when anyone gets it right. -- Good luck to both kids. :)

I would really hope parents would not use Sawyer or Lowell for girl's names. I was very surprised to hear that anyone would call a girl Sawyer or Lowell. Sawyer is (obviously) a person who saws wood, a sawmill worker, and a boy's name, like the Tom Sawyer character. Lowell means "Little Wolf" in Old French and Norman French from around the Norman Conuest o England. It's a strong boy's name.

That has happened more than once in the past five year, from more than one office. (I have no problem with people who are not straight, either.) But kids need a name that will not cause them lifelong problems. (I really was not happy by the time I had to ask for a supervisor at one place.) (And er, it's super awkward getting a sample of women's products, let me tell you.) -- It is funny but it's not funny.
