The most amazing beach you spent the night and next day on - aerial view of the beach and water reminded me of the Caribbean! The colors, the purity of the water. Was the water warm or super cold? Was surprised to see the brace on your knee - did not know of your childhood injury whatever it was. Sorry that it limited your hiking ability - but the views you've had are a treasure of memories. Thanks for sharing it with us. I hope your knee gets taken care of somehow What did the yellow and red marks on rocks indicate - up or down?.

Could you please provide a few detailed information for those that wanna give it a try for the first time alone ! How long that may take and what are your advices does one need a GPS or needless the trail is clear and obvious any training required prior...? Thanx un advance for your prompt feedback
Sure. The entire Lycian way is about 500 km. Takes an average of 30-40 days. The trail is almost always clear, but it is better to have a map or a smartphone with offline cartama (eg Organic Maps) with you. Preparation is not required, the route is easy.
I'm so in shock that there were ticks!!!! I've never encountered any in Turkey. In fact, I learned how they looked in Europe when one of them bit my butt hahahah. The ticks were only in one particular area?

Especially in just a survival shelter. Here in the US too many people just go missing. Plus all the hungry wildlife. It’s just not safe being a woman especially.

During all this time, I didn't have more than 9 kg in my backpack, including water.
Thank you! When I put aside my huge backpack my knee in order :) Yes, I was inexperienced and did not really choose things. I just put everything I needed in my backpack and left. And so I realized my mistake. It was a very rewarding experience. Now I collect the backpack correctly, there are no unnecessary things in it. And it weighs no more than 10 kg with water 👍
