Fantasy for Orchestra - Original Composition (2023 PMEA Outstanding Composition)

- Fantasy for Orchestra was the first orchestral piece I've ever fully completed. The piece began as an idea and the motivation to have my middle school chamber orchestra perform a composition of mine. Once I'd finished it, written for just strings, I thought the piece would sound amazing if I arranged it for full orchestra...so that's what I did. I also added some extra revisions. The work was completed in December of 2022, and I decided to submit it to the PMEA Composition Program. The piece was awarded "Outstanding Composition" in March of 2023, and "premiered" (a computer-generated recording I had submitted due to complications with the size of the orchestra) at the PMEA All-State Conference on April 20, 2023. The work may be performed by the Lower Merion Symphony Orchestra for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

Any tips to write like this?
Usually I like to study scores and keep revising my ideas into something I like. Also, if it's possible, a private teacher is super helpful!
@@ethanhcomposer I get it
I could do this with my third eye closed
Ok so I’m a tiny bit confused. What does H stand for in your channel name? Hero? Because that is what you are. I love this song, and it has made me automatically subscribe to you. I just have a couple, tiny complaints.
1. There should be a bigger clarinet part, preferably a clarinet solo.
2. There is no sax, the sax, if played properly, can blend beautifully, despite what many composers may say, such an Ethan H that goes to my school.
That’s all I really have to say, but I do have a request. Can you maybe think about writing fantasy, but every part is played by a saxophone? Thank you sir, and goodnight.
(P.S, if you don’t write the entire song written in sax, I will transpose it all into a sax and play every part with sax.)
Don’t worry, I’ll write a piece for alto sax :)
You’re a living legend sir 🫡
