I’ve got a huge problem with this channel. I’ve watched all the videos and now I need more. 😂. Tool box tours are like drugs to me. The production quality is top notch also. Please keep making these. We need more!!!!
Been diesel mechanic for 20 years I'm the same way with my box and tools. If something is missing or left out I know because everything has a particular spot.
Matco should call their white boxes the OCD series! I’m also a professional technician with OCD and you guessed it, I have a white Matco box. I bought mine in 2011 but it still looks like a new one as well. It’s moved to 3 different shops and I still love it!
I am the same but I call it pride. also tools are an investment I want the to last and look nice because my hard work made it possible to buy these tools. I'm proud of what I have done and purchased !
I’m an aircraft mechanic and that trait of cleaning your work area and tools between tasks/jobs and inventorying your tools is an industry standard. It’s highly sought-after by employers because it’s both a necessity and leads to more efficient production.
Coming from the restaurant industry to automotive, I do the same. We call it "mise en place" in the kitchen which roughly translates to "putting in place" in French.
After seeing this I want a white toolbox. It’s true the customer has way more confidence when they see a clean mechanic. Most people will pay for quality.
Dustin, I like the editing on this one where you cut in some cinematic shots of the drawers and tools in between his showing you the tools. That was cool
@@ToolBoxTour ya dude, I spent twelve years with Firestone. Learned a lot and met a ton of really great ppl working there. Now I'm an Infiniti dealer tech.
I’m an A&P mechanic, and everything (99.99%) is SAE. I had wanted to get that duratec set of thin wrenches, but their set skips 5/8”…… was disappointed when I saw that
Holy cow man. Coming from the heavy duty world , sometimes no matter how hard you try to clean your stuff it just doesnt seem to come nearly as clean as this guys tools. Once 15/40 out of a 500k mile detroit hits it, it is game over lol.
I have that exact same cart (the black one). It had a dented lid so I got it for $100 off from the Mac truck. Decent for the price but I have zero organization lol
Hi, at 11.23 there is a socket he mention about Toyoto shocks.. can you pls explain part number or what it is called so i can buy ut, Apprecaite your help
I love the Matco style on their boxes but I HATE the drawer retention, constantly squeaks and if you have them set to not come out when you move it you'll have to push them all the way closed or they will stick and just barely not close all the way. Hated it and couldn't set them to no resistance cause I moved my box around every day. Now I have a Cornwell 76" and it's great. A litter cheaper and not quite as strong, but it'll do until I get my dream white EPIQ Snap On box hahah8
Imagine how much money he'd save if he bought the tools from the original tool manufacturers that Matco just threw their name on and charged double for. Only thing he couldn't have gotten cheaper under a different name is the toolbox and rachets from them
Often times, it’s a matter of convenience. You could say that about any reselling business. Walmart, Target, Home Depot.. they all do the same thing. If you were to go to each supplier and purchase from them, you might save some money, but convenience is king. The warranty, truck stopping by every week, and customer service, are all reasons why people choose to purchase from one place even if you’re paying more. Thanks for watching!
@@ToolBoxTour we work hard for our money and the little effort it takes to buy the tools much cheaper online with a different name on them is easier than the work you had to do to earn that extra money you spent on the tool. The tools I buy I hope to never have to warranty and since I buy quality tools and use them as designed I've almost never had to ever warranty anything. In the event I have it's still less effort still than the work I had to do to earn the extra money I need to buy the same thing off the truck for more. I do buy tools off the truck but not rebrands because I just feel like I'm getting ripped off and I could save that money and spread it across more tools.
Rebranded tools have a much better warranty than getting it from the source. It makes sense when you think of keeping that tool until retirement. Paying double or triple is suddenly not so bad when you get it replaced 20 times with no questions asked. Just look up how hard it is to warranty Knipex tools and you see why my set of catch-all pliers are Mac branded Knipex. That applies to basically every rebranded tool. The stuff that doesn't get used as often is perfectly acceptable to get a better deal. I have many tools from Japan that have zero warranty and the reason I'm not afraid to keep them in my box is because I barely ever use them.
OK, I have to ask the question : How do you manage your tools, that is, how to you keep pesky people from borrowing your stuff ? Is there some kind of code of honor at your shop ? Nice tools can sprout legs and walk away some times.
Ko-ken tools are no joke very nice tools... all my tools expensive or not get wiped down before putting them away and they all get put away before i start my next job

Man I’ve been a tech for 10 years and I have a white box and I’m pretty OCD and it’s nowhere near that clean. That shop has to be a low volume car count cuz that’s way to clean
Obviously you have no idea how much these professional tools cost. The toolbox alone cost over $8,000 that should tell you much. All together maybe 30 to 40k
@@marioj3766 yea sure 30-40k Pennys maybe. You take me as an idiot? I see like 500 piece tool kits for like 200 bucks all over the place. For 6000 I estimated you could buy like 1,500 tools.
