Adrienne Warren is just a Stunning performer, her voice is just amazing & how she doesn't try to copy Tina's voice, yet mimics her style to perfection. Only good things can come from this young lady.
I can say I am lucky enough to work at the theatre where this show performs. I managed to sneak in yesterday for THIS song, Nutbush and Proud Mary. Adrienne gives her all in the live show, complete with iconic Tina moves, red dress and hair. She is sensational. Please don't think the above video is an exact showing of what you will see in the live theatre show. This was filmed several months before the first preview, which means Adrienne will have had months of rehearsals since this recording to improve her performance. Also she is a theatre actor, this was filmed in a television studio, which probably meant she felt restricted and couldn't fully go for it as she might have liked. There is also the factor of nerves too, she is taking on such an icon, Tina is loved throughout the world, it's a massive amount of pressure to do justice to the Queen of Rock n Roll. Hand on heart though, if you see this live in the West End you will not be disappointed, Adrienne Warren is aces! ❤️🎉👑
Saw her on the opening show on 21 March at the Aldwych theatre and it was an amazing show. Adrienne and all others are putting great energy on the stage. She is not a copy of the real Tina Turner, but she is the perfect singer to tell Tinas story. The bad and the good times. Great, great great.
The show is wonderful. She really incarnates Tina Turner, even though physically they are not so alike ( although she also has a radiant smile)... but for me it is impossible to listen this lyrics and not get emotional...'cause it became also Ayrton Senna music! He was and still is the best!!!
Tina has a light in her that is feeding her energy. This is why she can't be duplicated. Tina's spiritual side nourishes that light. Personally, I want to know more about her spiritual life. In interviews from the early 1990s when she thought she would retire, she spoke of writing a book about it. I hope she still plans on doing that. That's the story I want more of. I am glad, however, that she did the Beyond Albums. Those are so awesome. Thank You Tina!!!!!!!

I agree. It's like Tina said in an interview, she's glad that the legacy of Tina will get another chance. Interestingly, she said it as if Tina is a separate entity from her. From her comments in other interviews I seen, I think this is true. She created Tina, the character. Anna Mae is someone else entirely.

She's not trying to copy exactly, she is channeling her. No one can sing exactly like Tina and it wouldn't be the same if they could. Tina is irreplaceable, the musical is to tell her story.

If this show moves to Broadway, Fantasia Barrino would be perfect to take over the leading role. Adrienne appears to be to 'cutesy, cutesy' to play Tina based on this performance. Fantasia would bring the fire, grit & supreme vocals as demonstrated when she has sung Tina material in the past.
