@JimGryp Wait for him to take 6 steps to you and then roll on the point of the ledge to the right onto the actual platform. He will do a thrust attack and fall off, but it only works if you haven't raised all the platforms.
Moonlight greatsword was actually buffable before but it did atrocious amounts of damage, it got nerfed hard

I don't know barely anything in DS2, but there was one weapon that I really wanted to learn and see more of just cause of how meme it is. Its those crab claws weapons, which make for a perfect offcolour zoidberg cosplay. Saw a pvp vid of those back in the day and never anything on them since. I'll sub and hope to see some more cool routing and satisfying builds.
Enchanted turns all magic damage into physical damage and I’m sure the ring of blades only effect physical damage

If you want flynn's ring and ROB, use the enchanted infusion. If you wanna keep the magic damage use the sorcery clutch ring+ unleash magic spell to beef it up

The Ring of Blades increases the physical damage of your weapons, so if they don't deal physical damage to begin with, then the ring is useless.
I learned it the hard way on my Disc Chime run, although it was still very strong regardless. I recomend you try it someday, if you haven't already, it's fun, fast to get into (You only need to find a way to survive the fall into Majula's pit, and then kill the Mohawk Rat boss, which you can do very early in the game if you know what you are doing), and very powerful.
It's kind of sad when the "fake" that scales with nothing seems more useful in more situations than the real moonlight great sword

Also, try making a bleed build if viable, like a notched whip or dual claws, maybe scythe of the forlorn for the endgame.

Though No one told you that the Sorcery Clutch Ring from the Iron King DLC adds more damage to the Moonlight GS as it flat increases All Magic Damage. Like how the Lightning Clutch ring buffs lightning infused weapons amd miracles, dark clutch increases hexes and dark infused 🥹 A shame. On my Caster build I use the Moonlight sword magic infused for that far S scaling and with the Sorcery clutch ring 🤌 It's beautiful.
It adds like 35ish more points of AR which is also applied to the special R2

Yeah you right bro, there’s a lot of items there too so it’s definitely worth considering! I like the black gulch method cause I get a lot of souls from farming the chunks, but farming takes longer most of the time, so it’s probably not as efficient haha. Thanks btw!

Tried this build before, The reason RoB didnt add damage is because the MLG is 100% magic damage instead of physical damage, Also, i think the MLGs used to be meta so they nerfed it to the ground, I liked the part where Mytha grabbed you lol
Yeah I didn’t figure it out until I got the RoB+1 lmao, it’s a shame :/ honestly it being nerfed would explain why the damage output fell off for most late game bosses.

@@Yazzmania I think if you put enchant stone on it converts the magic damage into physical dmg, Idk if it does any more dmg tho, Worth a try
@@fleurdesaint yeah it might do more damage but I believe it negates the damage from the R2 special attack if you do that, not sure tho but I’ll test it out

the reason the r2 did no damage was because the devs didnt want the dlc bosses to get cheesed by spells so they gave them crazy resistances against sorceries which includes the mlgs r2 for some reason lol
I've seen an upturn in Dark Souls 2 content over the years and I couldn't be happier. Finally the most underrated game in the series is getting the love it deserves. DS2 is the best, imo.

What do you think about dual Avelyn? The problem though is that it requires high stats and too many bolts.
Honestly I never ever tried it before, maybe if you can find a way to get the stats for it quickly and solve the lack of bolts problem as well it could definitely be viable, not sure how the damage output would be tho, I assume it was nerfed cause that’s all I’d hear about back in the day
@@Yazzmania one trick I discovered Is that an Avelyn only needs 1 bolt to shoot 3 projectiles, problem is you Need to unequip the bolts from the player inventory and from the inventory itself.
Still, Im going to find a way to resolve the bolts problem.

I hear you bro, these are definitely fun but if you’re looking for maximum damage then they’re not the best option for late game bosses as you saw
So once the fight between those two npcs end at 18:06, you get the key and the door for it is before the bridge that leads to the door you open with the room full of spiders.
The door should be next to the lizard who comes out the floor, and it’ll say “it’s too heavy” so you gotta break it and itll lead you to the chest with the gauntlet

DS2 Moonlight Sword is the best looking in the whole series
