Lovely title lol, just picked the game up after watching your videos for a while and just figured out how to not get my but whooped by the campaign AI. Steep learning curve but in time I'm guessing I'll be able to play against others.
@@Stealth17Gaming that is true, bud the AI is a nice way to learn the game. I’m still learning the basics on like where units work best and how to make them work more cohesively. I might have to look up some older TH-cam videos so I can understand how decks and stuff work for multiplayer.
The best way I learned multiplayer was to just do mortars and recon in 10v10. Like, get 3 mortars, a fob, and several infantry recon units. Then watch your team and ask them to mark targets. Bring supply trucks to resupply your buddies. This way you can play slower and still be a big help. Anyway that's how I learned to not be a liability on the battlefield.
@@cadet1158 I will second a recommendation to avoid the AI -- rather, it actively causes you to develop bad habits if you do more than play 1 or 2 games to familiarize yourself with the controls. Probably the best thing you can do is try to copy Stealth here; he's not perfect but he at least brings full combined arms tactics to bear, whereas AI will only send squads of helicopters, then tanks at you in a swarm. Which brings its own unique challenges but will tune your tactics in entirely the wrong direction.
You can see alot of differences in this video. On one corner you have reckless plane usage and on the other corner you have stealth who barely uses those planes for anything , and if he is using them, is just for the sake of air defense. Using Planes in this game is like gambling and I would like to see stealth using more cause he is not afraid to be aggressive but somehow he is very Conservative in utilizing his plane tab.
You can absolutely use planes to extreme advantage. The only reason the opposing player was able to do so, however, was because they were essentially fighting 2v1 on Stealth's flank -- if you can saturate AA defenses you have the ability to strike ground targets with impunity. Their partner leaving also gave them more cards of planes than what would otherwise normally be available. My rule of thumb is that if the cost of the plane is greater than the cost of what it's targeting, it's not worth the run, unless there is some there tactical consideration at play. As a player gets more experienced better understanding of the nearby AA disposition will enable them to make more low-return runs, but ones with a lower rate of danger.
yeah, no. There are plane-focused strategies as well, f.e. taking out all the enemies AA in the tab for example. The risks are higher, that's true. They are, however, not immeasurable. Some time ago, Stealth struggled against a pretty solid Red Air player. He did really made it work against eurocorps coalition.
When I see serbian nick in game I immediately know that player is playing with Yugo deck, its not big deal or stuff like that but its just funny to me idk why
I would love to have this game in muscle memory, but I put time on very slow and still get stomped before I can make good decisions. I just love the era and all the vehicles it is what always draws me to play it.
Steep earning curve indeed. Played first mission in SK campaign probably 6 times before I got a good win. Only to follow with terrible losses again. Might be too much for me but also trying to manage without a built deck is obviously a difficulty
1. "I brought the wrong deck" bro you had a quad stack of m84s and around 100 infantry sitting there. what is the right deck? 2. Stealth go see a chiropractor because you're bound to have back issues after carrying that much
7:45 *LOL! XD!* Even if he chose the wrong deck, I'm pretty sure he'll be fine, he can play properly fine. (“You need to make it work. That's the objective.”) That's true, actually.
Hope the guy on your team stumble across someone who can help or find training videos. i know i learned alot from watching your videos. that aircraft spam however.... spicy air. i saw strv121 tanks so not a airborne deck.. so i wonder if he went as green as possible to get as much as possible.
Seeing new players in this game reminds me of the lines from Sabaton Purple Heart (2:31) "Once we were soldiers, once we were young" . . . Reason why i feel this way isnt completely related to wargem
It's a difficult game to get into. All the mode because you're fighting players who've been playing it for almost 10 years. Take breaks when you have to, be kind to yourself when learning and I hope you'll have fun.
As frustrating as it must’ve seen stealth he did get the win he’s going to be able to go back and take a look at this and see what he did wrong and learn from it… 👍🏾👍🏾😂
W:RD is full of fake noobs nowadays, players that reset stats etc. It's a pity for the real noobs because they get absolutely clobbered in the (statpad-)lobbies with ''noob'' in the title.
@Gunscount planes won't win you the game only lose it for you so quit using them as if they are infantry their not. I'm taking a wild guess that your team-mate left do to your major miss-use of aircrafts being 1 of the reasons. I can't really say how well you played because all I saw was planes and that in it's self is a major red flag. even as poor and terrible as the attempt was you still fought back. remember air doesn't win you the fight the boots on the ground do. @Puk.Mladjen Vukic the game of conquest you have to take more command zones (you'll know what they are on the map) than your enemy so sitting back in Anna is the wrong move. you have to take Boris and at the very least contest Centre (or Center). the move to protect the spawn is a good move but again for both game modes you have to take ground so move them up as far as you can and hold it. not only will that protect your spawn but protect your allies flank as well. if you want the game mode that you don't need to capture ground play Destruction. taking ground is not required but helpful. killing enemy units is all you need to focus on. last thing I know it's possible to have your units grouped together in groups of 4 but don't with most units. it doesn't make them more powerful in fact in makes them more weaker so that quad of M-84s and all that infantry split them up 3 at the most but no more than 2 together. Militia infantry, 10 point vehicles, and mortars are the exception to that rule.
i bought the game after so long and they flush off new player is welcome but the quitter and arty spam is unbearable, tried my best with Mech deck but no where near enough with the spam rate, had a good fight with my reservist held back GRU hehehhe

There is a significant difference between players and the AI. Fighting the AI does not prepare you to fight players, sadly.

@@obliteron thanks for that. Definitely will give it a try.

Well it's because his father or uncle or someone knows how to use at least half of the shit that deck uses, and they heard a lot about it.
@@Shadow90Cvijetin Yeah they really know to use that weapons but mostly for killing innocent civilians in Bosnia, Kosovo and Croatia.
Love your training videos, Stealth! I still watch them from time to time just to remember the fundamentals

Same, it took me 13 attempts to understand this game.
that viggen at 18:40 killed 505 points worth of tanks lmao

Aden surrendered to give more income and units to his mate, this is how that smurf got to many planes.

Look on the brightside, you have someone to defend your base while you attack.
Suomi mainittu! It even has voice acting in Finnish, i'm flabbergasted.
I heard that salt is good with tequila and citruses, Stealth ;)
Lol :)
loving your Wargame Red Dragon videos!

I think, when A player leave the other player gets more units and income, that is why he had a lot of planes
You were on a bloodlust 😂 great game by yourself!

Aiyo Im that ADEN player

I have honestly never seen a community that is quite so toxic as the WRD one.
have you ever noticed your intro seems to be a second off its audio?
