- The adventure continues… This time we’re back at wembley stadium for the the Uefa Women’s Euro 2020 final between England Lionesses and Germany Women!
The atmosphere was electric and sold out was wembley to cheer the girls home and potentially see Englands first major honour since the famous 1966 world cup final game!
Becky bill would bring the house down with her opening ceremony performance with help from her guests! It would be a very cagey start and both teams were very cautious on the ball with limited mistakes being made. England had a couple of good chances on the left hand side with Stanway, Kirby and Mead combining well!
However it was Germany who should of took the lead with a pinball from a corner that looked like it was going in! But not one by 2 blocks the pick of the lot being by Ellen White to keep the Germans at bay!
England would then really press for the first goal before the break! and a brilliant chance fell to Ellen white and she should of converted but she blew her effort over the top!
The second half for the first half an hour Germany would dominate. However a brilliant ball through and a beautiful chip from Ella Toone gave the lionesses the lead! And it also sent Wembley in raptures! The lionesses were in front!
But it didn’t last long, a brilliant german move accompanied by some poor defending gave Magull a chance to poke in the leveller. The atmosphere was a bit still after that as shock flew round Wembley!
The game ended up going into extra time and after a full first half, Chloe Kelly converted from a set piece as she hit her shot low and hard and into the net. To send wembley wild!!
The lionesses held on to complete a memorable win and there first victory in a major tournament ever, and england first as country since 66!
What a day! A day to see you were there and were part of it!

Absolutely I have been watching ladies football for a good 15 20 years now. And they have been getting better and better and thanks to the ladies football is better played by them than the guys at the moment.

A very entertaining commentary and opinion on the game after watching the whole game live! Both sides put in an outstanding effort and I agree that the performance e was equal to if not even better than the mens. Never been to watch an actual match before either, so seeing it from a spectators pint of view is also fascinating .

Hey man, that was a really well made video. Very nicely done, without copyright violations! Wembley was rocking. Watch out USWNT for the WC 2023; a handfull of these Euro teams are a major threat. I love your vid, support, and enthusiasm but this is incorrect. Women's football was BANNED by the fa in 1921 for being too successful. Dick Kerr Ladies were getting 70k crowds every game they played. Women's football was very much invented, but systemic misogyny tried to destroy it. Today is a victory for the women who were banned from playing in 66 as much as it is a victory for us all now.

Womens football had been invented but they had been banned from playing as it got to popular and had fans of upto 53000 watching. So that's the reason we are behind

The first organised football club and league was in England. We won the world cup in 1966 and since then , nothing. We have finally won a major trophy after 56 years and one day . So , football is coming ' home ' to the original organised home of it , England . Does that help ? :)

@@RF_Burns Football was probably " invented " several thousand years ago , by kicking a pigs bladder or human skull around :) but " organised " football started in England around 1888 , by men , yes. I wouldnt call them banana-legged . I'd call them several names, but not that :) Losers ? Well you have to get to a final and not win , , to be a loser , i'd guess. but even getting to a final is a success, of sorts. Winning that final is what you are aiming at. so now they just send their woman out to get the job done -... They did NOT send their women out. From 1921 to 1973 , they did everything in their power to STOP women playing. Even when these Euros came along , some club owners , well most actually , still refused to let the Euros be held on their grounds. 100 years and they are still trying to stop the women playing. The women went out DESPITE the powers that be trying to stop them , and won it anyway. What the men do at home , when not playing football , is up to them. They are the same as women , they can cook or not, their choice. :) The men went out to their Euros and got to the final , took italy to penalties, and didnt quite make it . so they did their best. Not sure what the women were doing when the men were taking penalties? cooking perhaps ? :) or training for the Euros? :) who knows :)
