    That was great Steve.
Living in Australia we don’t get to see any ancient sites like the Tarxien Temples.
I look forward to exploring Maltas
Historic sites when I finally come back .
Amazing places that still haven’t given up all their secrets.

Never knew that beautiful old cemetery existed 😲. As to unique sacred "Tarxien Temple" it's sure looking tidy & 'visitor friendly' nowadays.
THANKS for the tours Steve 🙏.

Interesting video, Steve, last time I was there, some walkways were in place but no canopies, so it's good that the temples are being protected now from the elements. The site is fantastic, so thank you for reminding me how good it is to see again. I dont know how I missed seeing the big cemetery next door, that also looked peaceful and seems an apt place to be next to the temples. Thank you again, Steve.

Great video! When I was there in 1996 it didn’t have the cover or walkway. We walked there from the family house in Paola.

Fascinating Steve , the last time I was over there I meant to pay it a visit but somehow gave it a miss , there was an interesting programme on the telly a few months ago about a link between the temple builders and the earliest records of farming in Britain , they reckoned that a climate catastrophe in the northern hemisphere forced the Maltese and Gozitan farmers to migrate .

It's very different to how it was years ago. There didn't used to be the walkways and canopy, and you could get right down in to the temples. I get it's to preserve them for future generations, but sadly you loose something of the experiance. There's a very special feeling you get actually walking in the ancients footsteps. There was only one other family there when we visited all of those years ago. It's such a shame that a lot of folk don't take much interest in these things.
