People have such a huge problem with member changes, but with PF... most members who leave actually stay in the company, to either take a break or work as models. It isn’t a bad company, they look after the girls. People forget that being an idol is like any other job. Unlike most companies who force them into slave-like contracts that they have to fulfil in 5 or 7 years, MyDoll Ent allows members to leave if it isn’t for them. People forget that unless you’re a big company, the idols aren’t making any money. I’m glad they have the freedom to leave. I just wish people wouldn’t see it as such a huge negative and just purely support them so they can grow.
While I'm glad that they can leave if they want to, as I wouldn't want anyone to stay in a group if it's not what they want to do, it also makes it very hard to support a group. People develop an interest or affinity for certain members, and they might not feel the same for the new members that replace them. The idol industry focuses a lot on fans getting to know the members' personalities and supporting them as people and not just performers. That has its benefits, because it means fans will continue to support their favorite idols through concepts that aren't their taste, hiatus, etc. But it also means that the group's success is tied to the members and not only the songs or the performance quality. Obviously no one should be forced to stay in a group, but it's also not the fans' fault if they lose interest after their favorite members are gone.
@@rinanishikido819 it’s not at all but it’s also a testament to how disloyal fans are and how they’re not really in it for the music or talent. They focus so much on a certain member and it minimises the importance of the others. Which I think is truly sad. Many long term members are still there and work just as hard as before but will go unnoticed because of unforeseen member changes.
@@kylepop4371 I don't think losing interest in a group because the people you liked left is being disloyal or not caring about talent or music. You liked that person, you cared about their talent and the way they performed the songs. Maybe you want to follow them in their future endeavors, or maybe you're just sad that you can't see them anymore. Even if some original members stay, the people you liked and whose talent you were drawn to have been replaced by others who you don't know or might not even like. Accusing people of being disloyal when the person they are loyal to left is unfair. A group is the members that make it up, it's not an entity you should be loyal to no matter who is in it. If anything, a lot of fans are extremely loyal and will follow talented artists in their careers regardless of the group or company they are in, like Wonho, Woodz, Kim Wooseok, Kang Daniel, Chungha, Somi, and the list goes on. Just because the company keeps the name of the group and uses the same songs, it doesn't mean the group is the same, and it doesn't make you disloyal if you stop following it after member changes, which are changes that greatly impact the sound, performance style and group dynamic that you originally liked.
@@rinanishikido819 a group is yes, the members it makes up and like I said in my comment, I believe it’s sad when people give up on the rest of the members when one they like leaves. It doesn’t change how good the music is, that’s all I’m saying. We all have favourites but there’s members of groups who aren’t as “pretty” as some others, who don’t sing as well as them, rap as well as them etc or maybe they are and yet remain unpopular ... and people won’t give them the time or day or energy to get to know them. And like you said, Wonho .. he left the group, so does that mean people have given up on Monsta X? Or are they supporting both? Exactly. But it’s seemingly different when it comes to smaller female girl groups from financially lesser companies.
@@kylepop4371 Some people might not have the means to support both, though. And it probably gets worse in smaller groups because there are fewer fans to begin with, so it's more noticeable if some can't support both the group and the members who left. But I don't think it's okay to generalize and say those people are disloyal or don't care about music or talent, that's all I'm saying. People have limited time, money and energy to invest in idols. So if a group has lost the members they found appealing and inserted others they don't find as appealing, it's natural to drift away. Another thing is that these companies insist on adding members instead of continuing with the original ones. If Starship had added someone in Wonho's place, they would have lost more fans than they did. You might still like the original members still, but if random people you know nothing about suddenly replace the people you used to like, it can be very off-putting.
Fun fact: PinkFantasy would’ve had the biggest age gap in K-Pop if Rai hadn’t left the group. As also stated, Rai was born in 1990 while Heesun was born in 2005. The group would have a 15-year age gap. EDIT: So I made this comment around April just between their ‘Lemon Candy’ era and their ‘Alice in Wonderland’ era. I didn’t get to edit my comment any sooner since my I was busy with some stuff. 😅 However just to keep some of you people up-to-date with PF, Heesun has rejoined the group along with the Japanese MyDoll trainees (except Miyu), while currently the oldest, SeeA, is born in 1993. So PinkFantasy actively still holds the biggest age gap in K-Pop
Honestly, the company section of this video was really wholesome. It does show that even when companies lose members especially by medical or personal reasons it doesn't automatically mean mistreatment but most likely poor management and lack of opportunities. I'm happy that the CEO herself understood the struggles of her idols and worked hard to make it work at their pace. This company deserves more support financially to do better things.

I was really glad when they announced the concert for overseas fans, and excited for the girls to finally see their fans too. The members were always excited and looking forward to it. However, I need to make some clarification to this. Firstly, the first postponement was due to the local latin promoters having issues with their logistics. With the concert date being so close, yet the promoter not being able to secure proper logistics, it was definitely unavoidable for mydoll to choose to announce an indefinite postponement. It wont be wise for them to send the girls over when a lot of logistics is not thought out proper. No proper concert venue? No proper staff logistics? A lot of gaps in their plans? This wont be good for them when they reach the country. There's a lot more going on and required to bring a kpop group over to an overseas country than just inviting a group over, especially for a long period of time. Therefore the postponement had to take place. However, for some reason, the promoters decided to give possible future dates of event, despite mydoll saying that it is an indefinite postponement until further notice (which possibly mean a full cancellation). Even the members and mydoll do not have specifics of the plan because it seems impossible, yet due to the possible date given by local promoter, fans kept asking them about the Latin Tour and it got very uncomfortable for them since they cant answer. Covid was then also the reason for cancellation of everything too. For info, there was not only supposed to be Latin Tour. There were also Japan Tour, and Taiwan Tour. All were supposed to take place around the same period as Latin Tour (within the same two months). And for history, covid hit at that point too, and Asia was one of the first countries to decide on locking down and travel restrictions. It's a pain for Mydoll to do so, but all their tours were cancelled after the decision of not taking risk at all even though they technically can travel over at that point of time. For the company, members' health and safety is priority. Also unfortunately, the countries they were targeting for the Latin Tour, were some of the hardest hit by Covid too. It was another unavoidable situation. In exchange, they had been doing lots of online concerts and events to compensate all the tours and physical overseas events they had to let go off. Of course, it's not the best, and i know many fans were and are still disappointed by what happened to the Latin Tour and every other tour which everyone was excited about, but that's the least they could do for fans since they know they wont be able to hold physical events for at least over a year due to the situation.
RIGHT i was shocked to hear that too but im pretty sure the birthday thing is going along with the no idenity to keep her real life a secret? it makes since.

their 12 o'clock music video isn't as high budget as you think. the different dancing sets of them in front of the village/movie theatre are all part of an indoor children's playground in Korea. It's not an actual set. But yes, the song has better production than their newer song.
@@kclarke421 true, I love the music video actually. I was just clarifying that it's not a high budget music video, but yes, it's really fun to watch!!! (:
CEO Lee Sohee is really close with the members especially Harin, who she said was like a daughter to her on a post for her birthday on Instagram! I don't think she would disband the group unless she absolutely had to - and they make most of their money via online fanmeets and selling products on their website. I also think they're planning on adding the guest members to the permanent lineup of Pinkfantasy but that's just my opinion!
I didn't even know this group existed, and is weird, because they debuted at a time I still checked regularly the new debuts. For what you explain about their company, MYDoll, it looks like this type of company has it almost impossible to survive in a market like K-Pop that still has yet to expand enough to provide a sustainable scene for niche markets within' the idol mainstream market. It looks like this company could do better in the Japanese scene, pre-covid, where there are different niche markets for idols and where indie companies launch projects similar as Pink Fantasy and the philosophy the CEO operates the whole thing. She sounds too avantgard and risky for a market like K-Pop that has expanded enough for a decade but where there's still little room for small companies to breakthrough and the appearence on general media is trully important as well as growing your fanbase.
I wish they played with the concept a little more... I feel like playing into Daewang's story/facts I guess (14:08-14:26) could make for a very interesting storyline connecting subunits, comebacks, and songs. Groups who do lore tend to build a dedicated following, which would be helpful to a small group like them.
PINK FANTASY IS GONNA HAVE A COMEBACK, SUPPORT THEM PLEASE! DON'T JUST USE THEM FOR YOUR THEORIES. (directed to anyone who only uses them for their theories and doesn't care about the music)
I stanned pink fantasy since debut so it was really hard growing with them, members leaving, slow comebacks, member changes in comebacks and the constant fear of members leaving/disbandment. In the end I ended up unstanning because I was becoming extremely stressed due to personal struggles so it was hard having to juggle those along with pinkfantasy, which was basically collectively standing on the edge of a cliff. I did forget about them after unstanning, but I’m so glad this video came into my recommended after a long few months without them. I’m in a better place now and it sucks to hear they’re still struggling. I’m just glad to be a luvit again.
This video could have been right before corona, but since corona virus th group is making much better and doing a lot of activities. The members are looking so happy !!!
I have some more info too! MDD was something that Yechan and Yubeen came up with on their own and the company worked with them to make it happen. Yubeen's time on Idol School was really traumatising for her and a lot of the other participants so I definitely blame that experience for impacting her mental health. Heesun broke her contract by making an Instagram account which is also part of why she left the group. Mybling was just a project group to give fans content between Pinkfantasy's comeback and Busters' redebut- they're not a separate group nor will they debut properly, the two companies are just close because Arang, Harin & Heesun trained at the same company as Busters members. Also with Daewang's identity - some luvits know the secret but we can't tell!! Please trust us when we say she's fine. The mask was her idea to help them stand out as a group! Also, Seea's name is pronounced like "Sheea" just for reference 💖
MyDoll is clearly talented and has a good vision. They just don't have the marketing power to get their music out to enough people. I hope they can be discovered with their comeback this Monday.
so, lemon candy isn't an official comeback, it's more of a pre-release so that's why mydoll didn't put that much budget into the mv. hope this clears it up :))
You've done it again! I literally only know Iriwa but I am definitely now going to check out Shadow Play sub unit. It's nice that the CEO let's them leave and come back. They should just announce that as their concept at this point. I want a bunny mask now. Thank you!
Maybe daewang is like a way to test new girls to see if they can fit in the group ( so they wear the mask and nobody will know) and if they pass the test they enter in the group as a "new member". Or maybe im just thinking too much (sorry for the bad English).
It really seems to me in general any human trying to be an idol can’t handle the harsh environment and the CEO of MyDoll is the only CEO that doesn’t force her idols to be overworked. Either that or the CEO is being too protective and forces a member out of the group rather than letting the member prove they can handle it. Of course, we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, we can just admire that the CEO cares at all. Support MyDoll!
I really thought having a CEO that was a former idol would be good thing for them but I think the consistent changes has really not helped. I love PF but I am concerned for them!
I’m honestly thinking of stanning them now lol I’ve never heard of them before this but I just checked out their songs and I love them. I don’t have any problems with getting attached to members I’ll just never pay attention to that and stream their songs. Pink fantasy hwaiting!
They have so much going for them. Amazing songs, a cool concept, a caring CEO and some connections to SM Entertainment. But with all the inconsistencies they are sabotaging their own success.
I hope this doesnt end up like rania did, blackswan is looking great, but i hope that these girls don't have to go through the same insane about of changes that the previous rania members did
i honestly want these girls to have their first win all of the girl’s vocals and concept are usually not like others like “horror concept then girl crush.” the company is losing money i hope that the girls comeback thats on the 21st gets a first win
Actually the reason I started stanning PinkFantasy, was because all of the members were already familiar to me, I LOVE when Idols redebut. So PinkFantasy was perfect for me! And then they also posted that short documentary about how the CEO found all the members and they just stole my heart and never gave it back
someone should make a kpop group like the jabbawockees. they always wear masks and no one knows who they are. however kpop fans are obsessed with visuals so it probably wouldn't work out
Something in me tells me that Daewang has been a different girl because a lot of clips, her arms and fingers look different from before. More tan, longer fingers. Paler but more shorter hands. Idk, maybe Im just jumping on this but I feel like she's never gonna take off her mask because it's always a different girl.
adding Daewang is really innovative. They just have to be promoted properly. my 5 year old daughter really loves their 1st single "Iriwa" even though it was release 2 yrs ago. If i had known them earlier, i could have supported all of their comebacks religiously. If they can put Pink Fantasy to more audiences (not just in Korea) their fanbase will grow in just short period of time. Tbh if they release Merch , especially a Daewang Plushie, I will buy not just for me but for my 5 yr old. She now has a pic of Daewang as a wallpaper to her ipad. Pls Mydoll Entertainment, dont disband them soon 🙏🙏🙏
It doesn’t pass on me that Daehwan, one the tallest and largest of the girls has on a mask. Going by how girl groups are judged by the public for their appearances and sizes, I find that very suspect cause when being compared to the others, usually any members neitizens find “fat” or “larger” often are not & get mistreated in styling so I have to question the true motivations behind why they gave Dae that bunny head other than for a “concept” or gaining attention for the group. This is just an observation based on the patterns I’ve seen from other groups. Correct me if I spelled their name wrong
I definitely thought the company did it because she could be considered the "visual hole" and I sincerely hope having er face covered hasn't damaged her self esteem.
Actually, Daewang isnt the tallest or largest of the girls. Her actual height is actually on the average side of the other members. She is only 'Tallest' due to them making her height '200cm from bottom to the tip of her ears'. XD It wasnt to cover up and of her flaws, and believe it, it's not because she's a visual hole either 🤭
my bias after their debut is arang, daewang, aini and yubeen....and now it's just arang and daewang....happy that their original maknae is back with em + with 2 new japanese member that is miku and momoka :)
I thought, based on what the members had said, that Lemon Candy is not entirely a comeback but rather a B-Side that's gonna be featured in the next comeback that they are having. They said that at first it was just gonna get released as a gift for the fans waiting for the comeback but they ended up promoting it and making a video for it, hence the quality of the MV being "worse" than other MVS previously released as it was filmed a bit rushed.
It basically is just a pre release, but when I was talking about the production I just wanted to mention it since a lot of people had an issue with the mv. Which i don't really get cause I don't care about mv's that much but some people do
Thank you for pointing this out. Just like you said, as mentioned by Daewang in her personal posts, Lemon Candy firstly was not supposed to be their comeback, but a pre-release. And they were not supposed to have any MV or promotion for it at all. However, since fans are anticipating on this release after a long while, Daewang decided to take videos too during their concept photoshoot at the set, and make it into an MV. The main plan was just to do a photoshoot and use some clips as possible teaser or small promo clip, but Daewang then decide to push it further by trying to make it turn into an MV at least, for the fans. Though it is unfortunate that people compare this with their other MV productions and speculate that they are running out of funds (which has been debunked further to be false too).
Maybe the reason they change members was because the "CEO" puts anyone on the group who wants to continue or pursue their career and give them second change to pursue their passion but, anyways that's what I thought
i love the concept of the hidden member with a mask, it gives a unique quirky vibe to the concept group i mean imaging having a member that can control the others?????????? WITH A RABBIT MASK??? ITS SO COOL
It sorda reminds me of nct there's so many members and units, it wouild be so cool if they took on that concept. Then again its probably expensive as heck. I love the ceo's ideas its so sweet.
momoka and miku are new permanent additions to the group, and heesun is now permanently back! momoka looks like a really good dancer and miku has amazing visuals and stage presence, i am anticipating the comeback!
9:45 i think the reason that their first music videos weren't as professional looking is because Shindong from Super Junior directed them. I think Shindong is great, but they probably couldn't afford an experienced mv director, and they figured that having Shindong direct the video might generate some publicity (which it did). And they've acknowledged that Lemon Candy is a very low budget mv, they just wanted to put out a song so that fans wouldn't be worried + the hiatus wouldn't be too long.
I think the problem was not the MV concept, direction or produccion, it was pretty good for a small company. The problem was the horrible clothes and basic choreography. In fact, on their music shows performances the main critic was the white shirt and shorts, because looks really cheap (sorry for my bad English).
They really should stick to their iriwa and fantasy concept. I can think of like 5 groups already doing something like playing house and lemon candy. Their choreography, song, and concept for iriwa was perfect minus the group all wearing those baby diaper looking bunny costumes. Next get attention from Malaysian, Thai, and Indonesian fans. They love being mentioned by idols and support idols who mention them. For example release a Thai cover song. Next get suju fans attention with suju covers possibly featuring some suju members. Then release latin American covers. Suju has a huge latin American following who are extremely loyal. And don't forget suju use to have a rock dark concept too.. Then once returning to their dark concept push them and their new members in Japan. They already started and Japanese fans seem to enjoy them and their uniqueness. All in all their best route is international fans not Korean general public because if their concept and daewang. I'd also reccomend them covering dreamcatcher since some insomnia (not all, some are insomnia and luvits) seem offended by their similar concept and this might be a way to make a bridge and get more fans. Then get a makestar if possible. That would be huge for them. Finally try and get yechan on a singing show. She has goddess like voice. Or get one of the more 4d chaotic excitable members on a variety show. Keep up the amazing covers and release another song like Iriwa or like Rainbows Black Swan or Natures Girls even. Fantasy was a bit to similar to dreamcatcher and made a small amount of insomnia angry. Keep the awesome choreo. Push for outfits like that are dark and unique. Possibly like some dark concept jpop idols wear. I could go on and on about this but there's my main opinion if what they should be aiming for. Please everyone check them out.l! Iriwa is incredible and so is Fantasy. Listen to Yechans covers and enjoy shadow play and 12 o clocks amazing performances. Also watch and listen to daewang with fans she's hilarious
Honestly, I LOVE and I do mean LOVE their darker concepts! It's different then all the "bubble gum" pop you hear from kpop and the daily, but ARGH! I love the darker stuff I think it suits them well and gives them an edge. Now, will that actually give them success if they stay darker...that is the question haha
Another solid content!! I've been interested in this group since Iriwa. And all of these are new knowledge for me. Damnn the line up changes is a long talk. Thank u for this
i feel like daewang about info could allude to the identity. like teleporting because they can be in two places at once because no one know who they are. the “controlling other group members” could mean they are in a place of power relative to the other group members. same with “the king” title. i like the theory of her being a ceo. if she was a former idol she could want that again without the criticism. she could cater to pink fantasy’s mental health because bing in the group she would experience how they are first hand
There group is proof of how hard it is being a kpop idol and trying to make it in the kpop industry.... They should really receive a lot more recognition

I always figured that the whole Daewang mask removal story was a joke cause it always seemed a little too out there when I first heard it

So PinkFantasy actively still holds the biggest age gap in K-Pop
if I'm right, Aini is born in 1989 so if she remained active, it would've been a 16 year age gap - I was mistaken, it's 1991 sorry my guys 🤡

This company deserves more support financially to do better things.

what’s their personal yt?
all of the girls social media are in the description of my video!
Of course, it's not the best, and i know many fans were and are still disappointed by what happened to the Latin Tour and every other tour which everyone was excited about, but that's the least they could do for fans since they know they wont be able to hold physical events for at least over a year due to the situation.
why did the shadow unit receive hate?

their 12 o'clock music video isn't as high budget as you think. the different dancing sets of them in front of the village/movie theatre are all part of an indoor children's playground in Korea. It's not an actual set. But yes, the song has better production than their newer song.

I don't think she would disband the group unless she absolutely had to - and they make most of their money via online fanmeets and selling products on their website. I'm honestly so worried about them too..especially with the many lineup changes it gets confusing for new fans

The members are looking so happy !!!
moral of the story: take care of your mental health

I really thought having a CEO that was a former idol would be good thing for them but I think the consistent changes has really not helped.

i honestly want these girls to have their first win all of the girl’s vocals and concept are usually not like others like “horror concept then girl crush.” the company is losing money i hope that the girls comeback thats on the 21st gets a first win
Actually the reason I started stanning PinkFantasy, was because all of the members were already familiar to me, I LOVE when Idols redebut. So PinkFantasy was perfect for me!
And then they also posted that short documentary about how the CEO found all the members and they just stole my heart and never gave it back

I can tell i'm already gonna love this video
adding Daewang is really innovative.
I just came from their comeback and I'm so happy they managed to release Poison, it's a very good one
XD
It wasnt to cover up and of her flaws, and believe it, it's not because she's a visual hole either 🤭
But the mask was her idea
my bias after their debut is arang, daewang, aini and yubeen....and now it's just arang and daewang....happy that their original maknae is back with em + with 2 new japanese member that is miku and momoka :)

haha well I was just surprised to see a collab like this you know?

In fact, on their music shows performances the main critic was the white shirt and shorts, because looks really cheap (sorry for my bad English).
every person calling daewang scary owes me $50 and a physical pink fantasy CD album.

I'm so happy!! I love Pinkpan and seeing you promote them is so wonderful I hope more people get into them! 💞💞💞🐰
I came across them through the new comeback Poison (a bop btw) and their discography is awesome for such a small group. I'll definitely be supporting them 💜 PINK FANTASY FIGHTING
Support their next comeback Poison!! :D
This situation kind of reminds me of a more toned down version of Rania/BP Rania/BlackSwan’s situation
please support their comeback, everyone!
If u guys are worried pls stream their Poison MV
Im like 80% sure that daewang is Lee sohee (the ceo) the eyes, the hands, the body its so similar to hee
It probably is
i was waiting for this video since i saw the busters one. GEEZ IM WORRIED AF TOO THEY'RE MY ULTS. They had planned a tour thru Latin America, but even before the whole quarantine thing started they canceled the tours. it worried me because they announced new dates but canceling them again... until the totally canceled the tour. it freaked me up not because I got the most expensive tickets but because aini left and then yubeen i am currently extra worried.
Oh my gosh I've never seen Piggy Dolls mentioned anywhere, I liked them so much but then they just disappeared - their MVs were even deleted off youtube. I didn't know SeeA was in PinkFantasy!! Thank you for this info
The songs of Pink Fantasy are awesome, I just hope they can become stable and reach the top at some point, thankfully nowadays there are a lot of ways to promote the group by themselves, I hope that Mydoll Ent can support them as much as they need to success
Their songs and vocals are amazing, hopefully their company will get things straight so they can reach the success they deserve
Update, they’re coming back
Thank you for this video, I love your Worried series. I really hope Pinkfantasy does well because they have such talented members.
I'm recently growing worried for Fanatics and more specifically the Sika situation. We haven't seen her since December after the mistreatment scandal 😔
I'm so glad you enjoy this series! I am also very worried about Fanatics, I want to make a video on them very bad
I think a big thing with Heesun too was her age. She was born in 05, at debut the oldest member was Aini at 91. Thats a crazy age gap. It was good for Heesun to leave I think. But the other member changes has me dizzy and sad :( I miss their Fantasy sound
one day, one day i hope they'll get what they deserved like brave girls, hope people will notice them!
I saw two of the members on this one makeup dating type video,
Yesterday they had a comeback! Please help to stream their new song 'Poison' !
They're having a comeback soon xoxo
