2020 and Wolves Within is still my favorite ATB album.

I'm six years late but at first I thought there were two vocalists but then I looked for informations on the band on internet and was like wait, why is there only one singer? Still can't understand how he switches to sooo different sounds.
This is literally one of the most creative things I've heard come out of the progressive scene in a while. Incredible.

this song is like a mix between Berzerker, Drifts, and a tiny tiny bit of Cursing Akhenaten, it's almost like an homage to Rareform, and yet it brings a newer feeling at the same time that transcends that album :3

I still listen to this album at least once a week. Every time the end breakdown starts to this song, I turn the volume all the way up even if its at a social event.. I still blast that shit.
After the Burial just keeps finding ways for me to fall in love with their music. I really cant wait for this CD to release.
So After the Burial writes a song that's totally new (AWAR) and people hate it. Then they write one that clearly is inspired from their earlier work (Of Fearful Men), and people hate it. I get that you can't please everyone, but my god some of you are such divas. This song is a perfect mix of their old (amazing) work inspired by a newer sound. And for all you complaining about the production, the mp3 version sounds exponentially better than this.
Its just pure adrenaline!
Out of all the deathcore bands signed to this label, this has to be one of the best and most brutal songs any of them have put out this year, tbfh. Props go to ATB.

easily the best song on the album. the flamenco style cut in is incredible and the final breakdown always gives me chills. I wish they played this live more often.
You guys/gals are funny. This music is intelligent and inspiring. And it's brutal as all hell. The recording is exactly what this band wanted it to sound like. Yea yea periphery, btbam, Vail of Maya, etc. It's all good stuff. What the hell would you even WANT to listen to a band that doesn't try and be different? .....

I actually LOVE the mixing (or lack thereof) in the first Rareform release. I like everything about that album, including the old vocalist, more. This song is closer to that album than anything off of In Dreams, a solid album too.

Why is everybody getting mad about the production? Personally, I only care for the material and this song is sick. I don't understand why there's always so much hate for a band's new song release on Sumerian. All you nit-pickers piss me off, these bands aren't trying to make the most amazing masterpiece for everybody. They write what they feel and what they enjoy, thats how they gain true fans from putting out whatever the fuck they want to.

I don't listen to After The Burial but I can see why people don't like the mix but honestly i like how it sounds because most progressive bands sound the same to me and honestly i think maybe it would sound better if you buy it and listen to it through good headphones and lets face it the musical aspect is fucking incredible
"most progressive bands sound the same", uh, are you sure you listen to progressive metal? Cause I think Between the Buried and Me, Periphery, The Faceless, The Contortionist and Extol (just to name a few) all sound different and distinctive; that's why I like progressive metal, because of the variety.

Im fairly certain this is a prepro version of the track. Could be wrong, but theres some obvious differences between A Wolf Amongst Ravens mix and this.
This sounds fair more like superior drummer, guitars are completely different sounding(Granted they might use different tones between 8's and 6's). I dunno
Cant be a pre-pro track because the masters would have already been ready and the CD's would have already been pressed, considering the release is less than a month away.

For all of you who are wondering how they are live, in my opinion, I've seen tons of bands live, but these guys are by far the best. And I didn't even know who they were when I saw them. Fucking sick.
I agree. I have known Trent and Justin for a real long time. When their first album came out with Nick Wellner as their vocalist I hated it but when I saw them play the album live with Nick still on vocals I loved it. Very good live.

A lot of times the record company will put out a crappy mix to discourage downloading. Hopefully thats what sumerian did with this, and maybe the final mix will sound better.

I was a little worried when I listened to 'A Wolf Amongst Ravens', thought they'd gone a little out of bounds.. Ironically, Of Fearful Men has restored me.
I'm so stoked on this album probably the top on my list for 2013/2014 releases which if you look there a shit load of them the mix is bad because of youtube get over it and enjoy the heavyness \m/
Idiots basing an opinion of the production quality on TH-cam amuses me. If you knew anything about audio you would know that TH-cam uses an audio codec well below par to cut down on file size and focus on picture quality ... Also this song is done on a 7-string which is neat because a would amongst ravens is on an 8-string rigged with a low 9th string to a high #2 ... The bottom is a .090 gauge. This is shaping up to be the most versatile unique metal album ever.

I've seen tons of bands live, but none compare to what this band brings to the stage as well as the energy of crowd, one of which I was part of the other night. It's been awhile since I had that much fun seeing a band live and could actually feel the music. Got to meet and get my shirt and a CD of them autographed by Anthony as well. I had never listened to them prior to that night, but now I'm hooked. Fucking badass.

I like how people complain how mixes sound way over-produced (Sturgis engineering for example), and now there's a track where this isn't the case and now its too raw? Different mixes such as this song is what gives bands their sound people.
I just want to say if this song was in the middle of forging a future self in their with their other 7-string songs, it would have as much admiration and love as every other song on that album, it's become much to normal to hate a band de facto by their third album just because it's not new to you anymore ... this band still fucking pound for pound is so much more talented than other bands it's not even funny and this song shreds like no other ... can't wait for the full album to listen to
