    Years ago I had a student in an e90 m3 and he used mdm all day. I recommended that he turned it off so he could really learn the vehicle. Towards the end of the day he mentioned that his rear brake pads were much more worn than the rear. Apparently he leaned on the electronics to keep him from flying off track and the pads paid the price. Try turning it off next time! I find even MDM to be too intrusive when you are really trying to use the throttle.

      Hi Mark thank you very much for the comment! This is really valuable experience, especially from a professional (you must be.) BTW do you mean turning the DSC off? I'm interested in that because I do like to drive the car MANUALLY (grin)

      @@funcarsgoodpeople I’m definitely not a pro.
      I don’t do it any more, but someone has to be crazy enough to sit with a beginner and intermediate in the USA.
      Yes , I mean turning dsc all the way off. I understand that some prefer to drive with it on or MDM. That’s OK too! At the end of the day as long as you have fun and stay safe that’s number 1.
      The disadvantage of driving with then electronic aids is that you aren’t learning what your inputs are doing to change the behavior of the car. On the street it’s great because it can prevent the typical driver from sliding off the road. On the track, pick your poison and stay safe!

      Thank you Mark! Can't agree with you anymore. Safety is always first. And I will surely learn the car with DSC off if I go to the track again.

      Hi YT Kangxi thank you for the comments 🤗 I have become busy with my work recently but yes, I will keep on producing more videos. I plan to do valve stem seals replacement in this summer. Stay tuned!

    Nice job documenting your experience. I still haven't gotten wife approval to track my E92 M3 🙂 Amazing tires as well.

      Hi Kevin thank you! I believe the racetrack is the safest place for driving and your wife can agree with that 🤗 Perhaps she just need to see and understand 👌
      By the way, I suggest to prepare another set of tires for the track day. The tires after going to the racetrack are going be super noisy because of the melting 😨

    Thank you for many kind reminders, that I should have topped up the engine oil for the race track. I have collected the replaced engine oil sample after the track day and sent it for analysis. Hope everything is well 🙏 謝謝各位觀眾熱心提醒,我應該要讓機油量保持滿位,才跑賽道。活動結束後,我已經換了機油並採集機油檢體送驗,希望一切安好...

      Hi all I have received the oil report. It says everything is normal. The engine oil looked good!
      Like I said the I cannot always be so lucky so I must drive the M3 with a lot of care in the future.
      I will make a video to talk about my oil reports now and in the past. Please stay tuned!
      各位好,我收到機油檢驗報告了!數據顯示一切都正常!真是好險 🥶
      我會再做一部影片來聊聊這次還有先前的機油檢驗報告,歡迎大家會來收看。下次見!

      @funcarsgoodpeople  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Aspireonthego, how are you? I saw the best time for E90 M3 on the same day: 2m06.926s. And for E92 M3: 2m01.938s
      The record holder is E92 M3: 1m52.33 🫣

    Hey buddy you should ha e topped up engine oil if you're tracking the car. Hope your rod bearings are okay!

    • @funcarsgoodpeople
      @funcarsgoodpeople  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Arjun you are so right 😱 how could I forget to do so 😭 maybe I need to do a preventive service soon 🤔 Thank you again Arjun 🥹

    • @arjunsamuel
      @arjunsamuel ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @funcarsgoodpeople hey no worries. I had an engine change by BMW under goodwill at 58000 miles for a rod bearing failure. My oil level had dropped to half before failure and I had topped it up a week later. After oil top up a month later with 1 litre of recommended oil, red bearing failed. I am amazed at how well you're able to do your own jobs. Enjoy the car and good luck.

    • @funcarsgoodpeople
      @funcarsgoodpeople  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Arjun thank you for sharing your story. Seems that the failure of rod bearing cannot be fully predicted. So you are suggesting always top up the oil, right?
      In fact I haven't do the rod bearing DIY. Those in the video were changed by an experienced tuner shop. After reading the DIY materials on the internet, I do want to give it a try!
      I have collected the engine oil replaced after the track day. I will send it for analysis. Let's see if something went wrong 😨 I'll let you know!

    • @arjunsamuel
      @arjunsamuel ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @funcarsgoodpeople yes please keep the oil topped up, if it drops from just below the arrow, I'd topnup by atleast 250 mls and wait till RPMs drop after a cold start before moving off and only gonna start 3000 rpm once oil temp is 100 degrees

    If you can change to aluminium skid plate 🙂👍🏻

    • @funcarsgoodpeople
      @funcarsgoodpeople  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Musselicious thank you for the comments!
      I thought about changing to aluminum skid plate and I realized that there are a lot of copying products whose prices are unreasonably high for a piece of aluminum sheet🙄 So at this moment I prefer to stick to OE.
      Do you have any recommendation?

    • @musselicious
      @musselicious ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@funcarsgoodpeople I still have not changed yet because I had recently changed to the more important thing like aluminium vanos covers 🙂
      I bought the SLON E9x M3 S65 Snap-In Vanos Covers but now Eventuri also have their own version so check them out
