7s on stock ECU is nuts, shout out BMW lol
There’s multiple platforms that have run 7s on stock ecu. Gtr/evo and even old ass dsm not really nothing to brag about.
@@bmw3946 factory engine management, most cars require an aftermarket ECU to run 9s or 8s, even the R8/Huracan can only go 9s, with stock/OEM ECU
@@joshvega4906 2jz's require aftermarket ECU's, so do the VAG V10s, LS and Ford guys also all run aftermarket ECU's, IMO it's pretty cool that basic BMW mid level sedans can go 7s with the OEM ecu

Great to see that German engines still rock (just like the ZF transmissions... their abilities are literally insane). Even though the times of German natural-aspirated V12s and V10s is basically over thanks to the EU norms, the high-performance tuning scenes are currently breaking most records with German engines. The Audi 5.2L V10 is breaking world-records for years now in those crazy >3000 HP R8s and Huracáns, Porsches newest 3.8L B6 Bi-Turbo is doing amazing and tuners from Germany / UK / Turkey are developing new power-steps on a monthly basis, then obviously the BMW S58/B58 engines are big, big on the rise and lately also the AMG 4.0L V8 Bi-Turbo and the Audi 4.0L V8 Bi-Turbo engines are more and more coming for new records in the specific vehicles. Awesome!

If you want a reliable 500-600bhp daily for very little spent on tuning the B58 is unbeatable. The platform seems happy with low, mid and high power set up. I run 560bhp stage 2+ and daily it in the UK smiles for miles!!
b58 is a good motor, the cars that come with it kind of suck though (compared to real M cars)

B58-S58 Is the way to go
These cars are getting better times due to X-drive all wheel drive system, you don't think the s55 could pull better times than 9.1s, if it had Xdrive? Haven't you seen how the rear wheel drive g80/82 with the s58 performs? 0-60 in 3.8 seconds 😂. Let's see how fast this m4 competition would be with just rear wheel drive. S55 is a better engine than the b58, mod for mod it makes more power. It's really more about whats attached to it, the car ( Supra is way lighter than BMW counterpart) or all wheel drive.

I thought they said the 2jz was the best engine lol and this car is still essentially a real bmw with mostly bmw parts and only a few upgrades, most 2zj engines with power are all replaced parts but big bmw is bringing up the value of the m3 and making the 3 series M more valuable than a m5 😊
