Youre the man! If you end up going a half size down can you do an updated review? Ive been waiting for this review ever since seeing people in the WL subreddit post about this shoe. You never fail to deliver, easily the best fitness content reviewer out there thank you for all the hard work. P.s. your'e a beast too 💪🏼
We'll see how they are after a year. I babied my L1's, and they started to fall apart exactly one year after purchasing. I like them, but they're quite cheap, and should only be sold for no more than 80-90 bucks. Let's see how these hold up.
ASICS 727 has been one of the best weightlifting shoes for decades, I’m pretty sure he’s making a direct reference to these and they’re definitely one of the best
@@eii8794Asics have always been the gold standard. What? A guy at my WL gym has a pair. Also some of the widest before Tyr came on the scene. ASICS still aren't wide enough tho imo...
As someone who’s lifted for a decent amount of time in the 08 Adistsr’s this is awesome. I wanted to love the 08’s but they were so narrow that I had issues with stability in the shoe because of my wide feet. I would constantly feel my outside of my foot falling off the side of the shoe. I loved the look, and the wood heel was cool, but it wasn’t viable. Having a company that’s all about wide shoes have a take on them is great because it might actually fit my feet. The blend of the old and new designs is super cool to me, and I really hope the shoes end up being great. The one concern I have is the heel rubber. I did have the glue between the wood and the rubber break down over time with the adidas and almost killed myself on a split jerk where the heel separated from the shoe on my lead foot. I hope TYR overdid the adhesive on the shoe to make sure that problem doesn’t happen on their shoe like I did the adidas.
I am looking for a high quality weightlifting shoe, preferably with a high wooden heel . Looking for above average quality. But not too narrow. The retro look is nice.
Are you wearing TWL socks? Weird to see an Aus brand haha. Do you know why can’t I find these online anywhere yet? Are they not released yet? I wanted to check out what other colours there were.
@@AMRAP oh very cool! It’s convenient cos they’re close enough to my house that I can drive to pick stuff up 😂. Alright, I’ll keep my eyes peeled over the next few weeks then!
Do you believe this shoe is better than the Rom2s and Lu's in function and quality? I currently have a pair of Rom2s that I luckily got in basically brand new condition for $80. However, I'm looking for a second pair to substitute with the Rom2s so that they last longer. I was looking go with either these or the Lu's but the price on these makes me hesitant.
@@Bulbous_Beluga in function I think they’re better than rom2, not so sure about quality because rom2s are near indestructible. Lus to me are pretty similar to rom2 but with a higher heel, which is what is really going to be the difference maker for you if you went with either. I think I lift better in the Force but there’s no doubt that Lus are better for the money.
They seem decent in terms of performance but the lifter truly seems uninspired. It’s like a copy of a bunch of small elements from each competitor brand. (Not a bad thing)
these are literally carbon copies of the 2008 Adidas adistar shoe. the '08s even had a red sole w the city of Beijing outlined and these TYRs also have a red sole w their logo on it lmao its literally the same. Kinda disappointed TYR just copied Adidas design
im kinda happy they did, i got into lifting only recently and always loved the design of adistars. not only was i much too late to get them, they also would probably be too narrow for my feet. these tyrs seem like the answer to my dreams
Dang! I didn't realize this. The L1 is as high as I want to go and feels identical to my Rom2s. Fabulous shoe and I'll shill Tyr for ages after using them for half a year.
@@AMRAP we are on October 14th and TYR have made 0 post about the Force 1 except reposting vids of weightlifters they gave a pair to .. I'm too excited for those 😂 I look on their instagram everyday to know when they'll be available.
Basically modern version on Adidas Adistars. They're a grail for many.

For sure...Ill journal eberything that goes on with these shoes.
Might be interesting for powerlifting to replace my Legacy Lifters from 2019. The wide toebox and 1" heel sound really good for me
I was about to sleep but then saw this video

When are they releasing?
I'd never swap my Asics for these.
Literally no one and I mean no one who is a serious gym guy wears ASICS....this is coming from a guy in the game for over 21 years!!

How to size them compared to the TYR L1 lifter?
Same size or size down/up vs. L1?
@@rookie1717 just go with the same size

My apologies, what I meant was do the anta shoes come in a wider width, and would that be better for you ?
Have you ever done squats in either pair? In your opinion, what is the very best lifting shoe?

I love TWL, they have supported me since the early days. These aren't out yet so it'll be hard to find the details.

Overtime, how much do they stretch?
Do you also sell the shoes, or where can I purchase from?
Price?
@@BarryMcCockinerEsq $330
Do you think these will make the TYR L-1's drop in price when released?
No, but when the L2's come out in Feb they probably will.
@@AMRAP Thanks for letting me know. Snagged some L1's for $125 from rogue anyways.
What is the brand of the sweatshirt you’re wearing?

Beautiful, similar to the legendary adidas adistar from 2008! 😍
What shirt is he wearing in the workout portion? I like it!
That’s the ten thousand camoknit shirt. Code amrap for 20% off if you decide to purchase. Works once per email
I have been wanting to try some TYR lifters. Need some wide boys
Where are they made? What country?
China
When are they coming out??
October something
Can’t wait to snag some for my wide AF feet
Was this colorway trademarked by Rogers?
FML i just bought new weightlifting shoes xD
Definitely cool vid working out the gear and reviewing together is a good vid. Seems like a pin for the editor. Lol but cool
Good thing the editor is me
They look to big because your heal is slipping when you move around. Anta evidently has a better fit.

Thank you for the inspiration!
let it drop, bumper plates are meant to be dropped

design 1/10
There’s no other way to say it…they’re not good looking shoes 😐 at all.
Gotta disagree. If you grew up in the Adiatar era, this is a great blend of those shoes and a modern look. TYR knocked it out of the park on these
@@Davis.smith.weightlifting yes, but these look hideous that wide toe box is the stupidest thing ever
will brake in 1-2 years, like all the other newer lifters that come out. Only Anta's are actually super high quality
Pretty sure that’s either leather for the heel or a composite made to look like leather or ‘wood’.
It’s wood
Ouhhh, the 1 inch heel is very…unfortunate. Although congratulations to people who want it, your options have been scarce
