Your past lure videos have inspired me to make my own. Thank You! Absolutely love it. Highly addictive. Love catching fish on a lure I have made or giving them to buddies.
I had no idea that you made some lures also, very cool! I make my own lures so I definitely enjoy this type of content. Thanks for taking time to make this video!👍👊
Jay, I bake my eyes on after curing the paint. 200 degrees for 10 minutes or so. Eyes stick really well the majority of the time. It seems to soften the paint a bit and the eyes kind of settle in to the paint. That's with the do-it 3D eyes. Might be worth a try.
Used Catch & Cook for the first time...purchased it at Gill's in Sioux Narrows on the way up to Woman River...great product, very easy to use, nice crunch and very tasty...good job in producing it
For putting the eyes on try the gel supper glue. Just a little and use a pair or twizers to put the eyes on. Also try dipping your jigs in kbs ultra clear. It will help keep the paint on the jig alot longer. I do this for all my painted crank baits
I really enjoy making lures, jigs, baits and sinkers. It extends the fishing hobby. O I only have an hour today so I can make a few jigs or paint a few lures.
Lovely jigs, beautiful lake and fish! Love your videos, just one question for you: if you suspect a lot of pike contact and eventually end up getting bitten off a lot, why not use a steel leader, at least a thin one? I'm sure the bass wouldn't mind if they get that little fishing pressure and it's way better for the pike to not swim around with lures in their mouth Much love still, keep up the good work!
Oh yeah Jay on the Cadillac of kayak, old town with I pilot! 😎 how much jigs you have tu use to get that equipment and raw materiel profitable? Not hating , I ould love to do that during the winter. But must be alot. Expensive molds and materials. Live that vid and the trip with your dad was amazing! 👌👍👊
Do you think a fish with a lure stuck in it's mouth from a break off eventually dies from it? I know people say they can rust out but how long does that really take? You gotta think a swimbait on a heavy jig stuck in a fishes mouth/lip would cause some issues.. Thoughts?
Getting your monies worth in that epidemic subscription my man haha, seriously though your teams editing is super tight. That's right editor I'm talking to you, I see you, dialing your nobs.
Tell me your sponsored without saying your sponsored 😂 Nice set up bro! Those molds are like 80 bucks a pop! I just pour tube jigs for now. Any chance you know where to find any EWG 4 and 5 ott hooks for a 1-2 oz mold? The biggest I've found is 3/0 ewg
As a machinist.. watching you pull the file instead of pushing, I died a little inside.. @4:24
great vid
hahaha same... she only cuts one way bud
Same for me too!
Still can catch way more fish then me any day lol

Nice video! Looks like a good way to pass the time in those long Canadian winters.
After gluing in the eyes, use Sally hard as nails as a clear coat, takes care of that cloudy look from the super glue
Very informative and always entertaining, Thanks Jay!
This is the video I didnt know I needed. Thanks Jay!
LOVE THE JAY JIGS❤ VERY COOL! LOOKS LIKE FUN TO MAKE TOO😊. AMAZING CATCHES GUYS!! ALWAYS BRINGIN IT🤘🤘❤️ HI SAM😊
He HAS to go to alberta walleye fishing. Maybe like chin resovoir is a good spot.
I would totally try a couple of thoses out in Michigan if some were for sale!
I need to get a reservation to Uncle Marks outpost!! Also it would be awesome if we could go fishing together…fish on bro! 🎣
Let’s gooo, you should make your own website for them
You could just buy the molds
My favorite fish to target are pike! I would really enjoy catching pike not-stop on that lake you were fishing!

Hey Jay! What are those glasses savers you're wearing on the yak? Please & Thanks
Any clues on what's going on with uncut angling
Awesome video Jay
Where do you get your moulds for plastics
My dad back in the sixties was pooring his own jigs. lol Lots of sinkers also. Nothing new.
What color did you use to make your swimbait? Looks like a bone white, white pearl ish color.
What lake are you guys fishing?
I would definitely buy some Jay's Jigs
Look awesome 🤩

Great Video Jay. Very informative. I live all your content. Quick question what silicone do you you in your swim bait molds?
Thanks! I use the plastisol from Do-It.
Hey man, do you fish walleye with or without barbs on your hooks?
depends on where I'm fishing. Some lakes/provinces are barbless.
Look into uv resin for fly tying instead of crazy glue
Do bass make for a good fish fry
Yeah man!
Jay what watch you rocking? Should get Rolex to sponsor the channel 😉

Thanks man! But not actually using epidemic sound.
I’ve found that you can get that residue off with a little Rubbing Alcohol or Nail Polish Remover

Jay for safety sake you should also wear gloves and mask back up when drilling lead and paint.
Hmm, didn’t know they made a left handed file
@1makerofstuff makes some sick wooden lures. Gotta check them out.
Jay pls come.back to the yukon
If you're not digging the super glue give UV resin a shot. I hear there's a channel out there that talks about that wink wink nod nod
Jay: Get an electric hot plate/grill and warm up your molds on that.
I told myself I was going to stop watching so many fishing videos. You're not making it easy. 😅
Nice
Do you know Eric he’s a fishing guide and works at Redden’s if you do we had him and he was vary nive
