What’s an alternative if upper body strength is weak to push up?

How is this the most simple climbs for beginners but doesn’t include the Russian Climb? The footlock climb is much harder and requires you to be able to do a footlock in the air first.

Totally agree. Also involves a long of hanging which is difficult for those still building strength/ grip.

We found that for the young ones, the silks were less likely to get tangled on their feet doing our basic climb rather than the Russian climb. We started teaching them footlock climbs in the third level to help them practice their footlocks in warm ups while still working on their arm and grip strength :)

Make sure your bottom foot is flexed well and really pinch the fabric by stepping on top of the silk, sandwiching it between your feet. Winter can also affect grippiness when our skin gets dried out. Some rosin may help in that case.

@@QizzupAerial I did it and now I can do the circus climb where you put both feet on opposite sides and slide the bottom foot to the top with the fabric if you got that explanation your a goddess but yeah eek I’m happy
