That's awesome Paul 😍 the light blue matches the tank better...this is a really EPIC build and makes the tank look nice and clean! I know a lot of thought went I to this build for sure
Thanks. A lot of the cords were easy to route without extension cords. I have since removed this and did a side cabinet on the stand since I had no room to get behind this.
Looks great. One suggestion. Take some quarter round, paint it black, and attach it right in front of the led lights. That way you get the glow without seeing the actual leds. 👍🏼
This is probably one of the best videos on how to DIY controller cabinet for your Apex system. This build came pout awesome and superior work! I am getting ready to build one but I need mine wider since I HAVE plenty of room next to my SCA150. question - HOW MANY OUT LETS ARE YOU RUNNING TOTAL BEHIND YOUR TANK?
I am so sorry that I missed this comment! Thanks for watching and commenting. So I am running 4 total outlets behind the tank (2, 2 plugs). I had someone install 2 breakers in my breaker box so each plug has its out breaker.
This is awesome. I’m going to paint the inside of mine white since it naturally reflects light it will brighten up the inside of the display nicely while hiding scuff marks, dust, and any imperfections in the paint after install.
@@inventoryking Where did you find the right angle cables to connect your aqua bus? I’m working on planning my tank build and would love to have them like you did. Thanks so much.
Hi, I’m watching 2 months later and I’m wondering how you routed the cables for the vortech pumps that go to the dry side through the holes you drilled? I thought you couldn’t detach those? Thanks!
Reefer Gill made a DIY cabinet and he removed 3 screws from the back side of the controller, disconnected the wiring harness (quick connect) and slid the wiring harness through the cable management holes
inventoryking I don’t see any on their website so I’m not sure if they offer it. I’m wondering if a stereo headphone jack would work check this link out they are not to expensive to try it out. www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=648
Superior job on the cabinet #@UCD0v9KxbMdnSz0WC6it2bMQ! I bought two Marine Depot cabinets that will be getting placed on top of each other w/ all of my Apex gear and then I will be building my tall and skinny cabinet like yours but mine will only be 55'' in height.. What size lumber did you use for this build if you don't mind me asking?
Yes! Epic! Awesome control cabinet and organization!
Thanks!
Extraordinary work my brother
This has to be the most 🔥🔥🔥 cabinet built for the apex Nice 👍🏼

If you were to do this again would you still do 2" wire grommets or would you go bigger for any reason?
You know, If I had more room I would for sure.
A man of many talents!! 👍🌱
Thank you 👍🏻

Awesome build! Did you end up buying extension cords for example, like your heater or in sump components?
Thanks. A lot of the cords were easy to route without extension cords. I have since removed this and did a side cabinet on the stand since I had no room to get behind this.

How did you manage the cables behind everything? How did you tie those together to the gear on the tank and hide them?
To be Honest I am going to build a new controller board with much more access.
Bad ass! Thanks for the video.
Looks Great, Thanks.
Thanks for watching!

Doesn't the energy bar need a 1-inch surround for the heat exchange?
Yeah it needs room. There is a little room. SO far so good.
Awesome!!
Thank you sir!
