Im 98 and still jam to this song. My wife died 33 years ago and this was our song. I miss you Agnus. See you soon
This is a bad ass song to have for a couple ❤
That's Heavy! Here's to 98 more years my friend.
ov dxzll
Klaus and Rudy hit this fer you and your WIFE!!! PEACE!!!!
no way I believe this
This song reminds me of my mom in a weird, but great way. Thank god she raised me on gems like this.
I wish I grew up when rock was this cool
The 70's and 80's were magic. I'm not kidding. I'm rocking tonight and I'm a 60 yr old woman...lol
2024 and still one of the BEST bands of All Time
The zoo has got to be one of the most under rated Scorps song of all time. It's a killer song that never got the recognition it deserved. Keep rocking boyz
yeah man definately one of their best.... they should play it more on the radio
This whole album never got its due.
Honestly I heard this song on the radio every single day during my teens. Hard for me to call it underrated;) 🤘
Actually, Dynamite is one of their most underrated songs.
@@ChrisBennettGameDesign Yeah, there are a bunch of people who are clueless on what constitutes being underrated. Saw one dumb bitch post that Ann Wilson was underrated as a vocalist. Called her out on it and I think I made her cry. The Zoo is definitely not underrated nor underappreciated. Probably without a doubt one of their top 3 most recognized and appreciated songs.
I'm 72 and I love this song.
I'm 60 and I will forever Rock to the Scorpions!
You old school guy rock!!!!
I'm 65 and this has always been my favorite song by the Scorpions. They were our last concert of the year (last year-2023). They were great and we hope that they come back this year!
I'm 77 love this Song😀❤
I'm 39, this song kick ass
The opening riff to the zoo is like a lengthening heaviness and then comes the explosion. Perfection
When rock really. Rocked l miss the eighties
"Then that kurt cobain pussy had to come along and ruin it all." The wrestler.
Iwasbornbeforhistory
Born in '93. But Amen my brother!
Yeah no doubt...class of '82!
Yep
That intro is fucking brutal, I love it!
Especially in concert!
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Omg, yes!!!
And the next song too!
This and "Animal Magnetism"
Holy Crap I miss this stuff! >3
@@garyblanchard8570 it's trash
I'll be 68 in a few months and I still enjoy me a nice plateful of The Scorpions!!!!!😉👌👍
Possibly The Scorpions best song. Great sound. Great riffs. Great lyrics.
Always loved the zoo myself. I also love the instrumental coast to coast. Great song
Nobody put on a live show like them. They blew everyone away at the monsters of Rock in Denver 87
yeah rock you like a hurricane is catchy, but that's it, it has a catchy riff and lyric. This song is more artful.
BY FAR THEIR BEST SONG in my opinion ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I agree
Love and Respect from Albania ❤
Sadly there will never be bands like this again😪
Long live the scorpions!
Wow such pessimism...
@@TheUltrabeast55 I'm right so far. Stop me when I lie.
@@derekcantu816 I will... though it is pretty bleak right now I will admit.
It doesn't have to be. all it takes is a few young dudes who love metal. It takes someone who is truly inspired to make not only the riffs, but replicate the recording sound too. Old school metal had analog recordings, newschool has digital.
@@Nekrokultis I agree but dont believe itll happen. Music changes and even quicker today. The scorpions will die with my generation. It's sad but true
one of the greatest heavy metal riff ever exist
I agree with the Georgester.
Agree!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
It was a kick ass start of the 80s.
Such a groove it’s awesome I just turn it up and nod to it every time it comes on
@@Thinker669 q¹1¹¹¹¹¹
The rock station I usually listen to, plays classic rock. They played this song they seldom play. I rocked out. This song should have been played more. It reeks of bad ass rock 'n' roll.
Since we are doing ages... I'm 34 and I've been listening to this since i was a kid (30+ years of the Scorpions), my parents showed me good music at a young age. Golden era of rock!
Scorpions - the first band I bought a record of, it was actually a "pirate" cassette bought at marketplace.
It was late '80 socialistic Poland and there were almost no official releases of western band's albums.
This band brought me to rock and metal and will have a special place in my heart forever.
Some years back I took my father to their show in Zabrze, they've made a huge impression on both of us.
Awesome, greatly underrated rock band.
Underrated? Are you kidding me? They are among the biggest names of the rock/metal music industry.
Polska nadal jest socjalistyczna
@@cor.tenebrarum Bez przesady xD
A nawet jeśli to na szczęście nikt nie zabrania nam słuchać Scorpions
@@thelastowitch not really, they are a german band, they were the stuff of legends during the 80's, but black sabbath, iron maiden, rainbow, judas priest, deep purple etc just completely drown most of the rock bands back then. dont get me wrong scorpions is awesome, but not well known to the average consumer. i can go around and go to people and asked them which would they choose "iron maiden or scorpions" pretty sure they would choose iron maiden because those are more mainstream and way more well known (well known as in people have heard about them) due to less embargo back then, europeans have to go around few loop holes due to the political nature back then which kinda put a lot of obstacles in the entertainment industry. same goes with smokies, also german, awesome band, but hard to take off in western audience because of and again locations. Scorpions are one of the biggest name in the rock industry because we are more well verse in that knowledge.
@@nazirulsafwan6330 sorry, although I understand your point, I can't agree with you. It is not a question of what sb would choose, IM or scorpions, but the fact that scorpions have never been underrated and headlined lots of festivals, concerts, etc, around the world.
80’s rock was the best, I wish more songs were made like this today
@музыка Дима Алефиров ПИАР МУЗЫКИ pp
Motion device young rockers that kick ass ! TYPE IN MOTION DEVICE
Couldn't agree more. I'm an 80s kid born in 86 and I love rock like this. Heard it in the womb loved it ever since 🙋🤘
THE BEST
man not compare
It's shocking to know Scorpions started as a band in 1965 and their music will still be getting played and listened to in 2065
And they’re still making music and touring today. Talk about longevity.
I sure hope so!
Why 2065? Why that specific year? Lol
@@stephenhilliard3015 because it'd be exactly 100 years later :)
@@ghostdagreat Gotcha
I' love this song
Most underrated riff of all time
The Zoo will always be a classic. Rock on Scorp's.
You cannot play this song loud enough 🤟🏼
I could crank this and my brother could hear it in his front yard. I could see his backdoor from my front door.
When I listen to this song, so do my neighbors. 🎃
@@MrsRaulDuke1971😂 I was going to say this song is also my neighbor's favorite song
Agreed speakers blown
Heard this when I was 14 back in 1984. These guys are legends in my book.
Ha! I was 14 in 1984 and my brother played "Blackout" on the tape deck of his 1978 Trans-Am. #bestlife.
Me too!!!
The riff at the beginning of this song has to be one of the greatest ever. Always a fantastic song live. Have to give the Animal Magnetism album a listen seeing as it is the 41st anniversary of its release on 31/03/1980.
agreed
Good grief, didnt even realise it was that long ago. I bought it new around a month after release...feelin old now... 😉
Great tone
Fantastic!!
70’s/80’s Scorpions was as good as anything out there, great live band!
Scorpions é música, os caras são foda.
The Scorpions are really great. This song shows it all-great guitars, vocals, and energy.
Damn, I love this song. The riffs are just simple, but badass
SOOOOOO BADASS!!!!!
Being a german who grew up in the USA during the 80s; it may surprise you to know, the Scorpions are virtually unknown in Germany (outside their local area) while in the USA at the time they were as big as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest were, circa 1983.
Also das wäre mir neu. Die Scorpions, eine der wenigen international erfolgreichen deutschen Bands. Sehr bekannt, auch in Bayern
Real
Scorpions are big in the Philippines too.
My God that opening riff is so damn awesome
Saw them in Concert . . 1984 when their Love at First Sting album came out . . . saw them in April a month after the release . . . standing in the very front row taking it all in . . . the raw energy standing that close . . . I close my eyes and I can still feel my chest thumping from the music! 🙂
This song is fucking amazing
The bassline gets my heart pounding because it's a hearbeat!
Knew this was a great song when it first came out, but never heard it anywhere except blasting out of my own stereo. And I blasted it... ;Þ
This song you have too turn the volume all the way up.
Prisoner of war training 57'
It is so nice that Scorpions has aggressive heavy metal songs like Zoo or Blackout and at the same time has lyrical soft songs like Still Loving You, and all of these songs are so good! Scorps forever!
I completely agree 1,000%!!!!
The main riff is cool of course, but is nobody gonna mention that ORGASMIC chorus?
One of the best 80's songs! The slink factor is off the charts! 😊
I guess I was born in the right generation. I can listen to all kinds of great music at the click of a button.
But cant see any of it live
It is actually Amazing, no doubt. Back when this came out, you'd have to rewind the cassette which eventually would break (run out) after too many plays. Or a record, which could get scratched and you'd have to place the head carefully to be sure it didn't. Or listen to the radio for hours hoping it would come on. All of that is true. But there was something irreplaceable about living through it, when it was part of the culture. People wearing metal concert tour shirts were "cool".
Plus, music back then was more poetic, you had to think about what it really means. Now, WAP is the jam of kids these days, and frankly that's just outrageously offensively sad... (and parents of the 70s/80s were worried we were all devil worshippers...)
Now that's the spirit
I was born in 86. I and nobody can stump me in rock
Amen
This needs to be on the radio more I barely hear it
I first heard it alot on radio in '91. Had no idea even then it was over ten years old!

Or it's formulaic crap to some people.
After all these years my heartbeat still rises when the intro changes to the incessant riff. Rock on Scorpions
I m listening 2024 used to play this at work. It was a zoo. Saw them in 80s..
still one of the most badass intros of its time
This and " Is there anybody there".... love the Scorps...
I asked an ex-boyfriend of mine what his favorite song was!? He recommended this one to me, we are not together and now he is a committed man and coming here to listen to this song remembering him ❤️
My white man knows perfectly well that I still love him!
One of the GREATEST tunes ever!
ROCK ON forever Scorpions!
*The greatest tune ever :)
This is rock, plain and simple
Dirty rock I love this song 😊
Slow poke rock rules! 🤘😊
I was stationed at Clark AB from 82-85, lived in a house with three other guys off base. We used to crank the tunes and I especially remember this song! It still sounds great when I blast it in my car on the interstate all these years later.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
you'll be happy to know Clark is still alive and kicking, just more of their personnel these days over in those parts. I was there not all that long ago before COVID hit. Good times!
Favorite Scorpions song
38 years and still as awesome as it ever was
42 years. (Recorded in 1979, released in 1980)

Absolutely masterpiece. This specific march and rhytm... Truly epic
I'm 55 and still rocking as hard as ever!!
Just watched them live yesterday for the first time. I had a feeling they were going to be wild but they are really out of this world. I have a feeling people from the 70s and the 80s really had the best concerts. I mean they are around their 70s and they still make unbelievable shows. Im sorry but i truly think they don't make them like this anymore.
Thank you so much for the memorable concert Scorpions. Forever my favourite band.
I saw them on the Blackout tour in 82 (i think it was 82) and it was and even 35 years on, iy is still the best concert Ive ever been to! They were f**king brilliant!
I saw them about 2 weeks ago in Greece they were amazing😁😁😁.Even the orchestra was with them in the begining
Me n my pals saw them on this tour- Animal Magnetism- me and my pal Kurt played this album in our sets too! killer! 1980!!
Gonna watch em in 4 days!!!! SO EXITEDDD
Scott Wilson lucky duck!
One of Scorpions' best! After all these years they're still my favorite band🤩
First song I heard from them on rock wars on kq92 in MN. Fell in love
One of the LOUDEST bands I've ever seen! They can hold their own against, say,Juda Priest as far as decibels go! The Scorps' are the shit! Especially the "BLACKOUT" album! Their best,as far as I'm concerned! Great band!
63 and this is my all time favorite song! It's the perfect rock song.
Diese Riffs, einfach genial, Michaei Schenker und Klaus Meine perfekt!!! SCORPIONS Forever!!!😎🤟🎸🎤🎙️
I LOVE this sing
I was a sailor in the USN, stationed abroad in Italy as a 19 yr. old. I was missing home, so lonely. Scorpions... God love them... u all are my honorary Shipmates.
One of my all time favorite rock tunes from one of my all time favorite bands. The ONLY thing that can be said of this song is that it kicks some major ass from start to finish. TURN IT UP!!!
Great live band- they’re still kicking ass.
Saw them last year. It was surprisingly great. They still got it
R.I.P JAMES 😭😢
ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO ROCK WITH BANDS LIKE SCORPIONS !!!!
My mom's fav song by Scorpions... She brought me to them and I brought her to this masterpiece. We argu often but when I'm mad on her I talk to myself, that she's the reason why I love this band. She raised me to be a metalhead.
That’s what’s up... my dad raised me on Led Zeppelin and the stones but I discovered all the great old school metal bands... cheers and rock on
Good!!!
The intro is carnage. Love you Scorpions :)
Fantastico🎉🎉🎉🎉
Please tour this summer too. You guys were my last concert last summer. We all loved you. So come back to Pineknob in MI again. Thank you
Happy 40th birthday Animal Magnetism and The Zoo!!! WOW! Keep on rocking!
Love that term Animal Magnetism🙂🤘🇨🇦
SCORPIONS🦂 FOREVER❤
A touch of Glam & a touch of the Blues and then that blistering Metal solo! Scorpions are awesome!
I love this, discovered on Planet Rock radio and cant stop listening. That riff is incredible
The job is done and I go out
Another boring day
I leave it all behind me now
So many worlds away
I meet my girl, she's dressed to kill
And all we gonna do
Is walk around to catch the thrill
On streets we call the zoo
We eat the night, we drink the time
Make our dreams come true
And hungry eyes are passing by
On streets we call the zoo
We eat the night, we drink the time
Make our dreams come true
And hungry eyes are passing by
On streets we call the zoo
Enjoy the zoo
And walk down 42nd Street
You wanna be excited too
And you will feel the heat
We eat the night, we drink the time
Make our dreams come true
And hungry eyes are passing by
On streets we call the zoo
We eat the night, we drink the time
Make our dreams come true
And hungry eyes are passing by
On streets we call the zoo
In the 10th grade I discovered The Scorpions and went to two of their concerts, plus seeing them in Tampa at the Monsters of Rock! They are an amazing live band! They sound just like they do on the record! And my buddy who also liked them, played The Zoo for me when he drove me to the recruiter station the day I left for Parris Island.
The song, "The Zoo", is a classic. I always get a good laugh when I listen to the imagery in this song.
Crank It Up 2024❤ 😅🤘🏼✌️
it's soo heavy it's soo awesome sooo badass
These guys are so ahead of there time.. im gonna say they influenced many bands from metal to grunge.. rock in general
Agreed, this song has some pretty grungy vibe, reminds me of man in the box a little

My first concert....Scorpions! Still listen to them 40 years later
Gotta love the "Talk box" throughout the song?!
Sup my peeps !
Saw them in concert in 1980 @ the Seattle King Dome. They warmed up for Queen. Best damn concert EVER! ❤❤❤
The Kingdome was a dump. You're lucky you didn't get hit by a falling tile.
@@Reggie-The-Dog
It wasn’t in the late 70’s and 1980! What it became after that, I have no idea.
@Beeintelligent It fell apart. Literally. Tiles were falling from the ceiling and onto the playing field. It was cheaply built and the roof was flawed and leaked badly. They spent millions to supposedly fix the roof but instead they made it worse. Plus it was an eyesore, especially from I-5 because you could see the top of the roof from it. They finally demolished it in 2000.
I was lucky to watch both of my favorite bands Queen and Scorpions, though separately in 1980! Long lived Queen❤
I saw them open for Ted Nugent the year before in Spokane Washington. I didn't even know who they were at the time... Ha Ha.

Quite possibly my all-time favorite Rocker!! Soon as I hear the first note of that intro, the volume goes ALLLL the way up. It's impossible to sit still when listening to this song, or to not scream along, lol. If you're driving, your right foot gets 500% heavier, too...
