Spacers are stupid. on my 03 f150 xlt, not once but twice, the studs sheered clean off.
Best thing to do and way safer is just to order offset rims, problem solved!
I’ve herd of people having the same issue but never experienced it myself. And I’ve ran spacers on a couple trucks. But definitely agree. Higher offset wheels will do the same thing. Just not in the budget right now.
I agree that offset rims are the way to go, however, if your studs were sheered off I’m betting you bought cheap spacers that weren’t hub centric. Hub centric spacers put pressure on the hub instead of the studs.

Was a little worried as well but installed correctly and checked every 700-1000 miles should be good!

315-70-17 and stock suspension just have the keys turned up a little. With 2 in spacers.

I have a 99 extended cab and want to install 285/70/R17 on stock wheels. Now I have an idea of the fit on the stocks. TY
I ran 285/70/17s before these and loved them. It’s the perfect size for these trucks in my opinion. I just wanted to go a bit more crazy this time and went 315s.
good looking truck, on those spacers its best to sand all the rust off the mating surface. and put a layer of antiseize. the rust can spread and you get a thing called rust jacking where the rust will push the spacer out of round and youll get vibrations and other annoying stuff.

Completely agree with all of this. Bought my 2” spacers before Christmas and just put mine on this past week. I can not say how much better I love the stance of this truck with these spacers! The torque is on the ring of the original lugs. Mine for a ‘01 4WD was 150lbs.
