Jk finds answers from our questions. Truth valued among us based on our tutored memory. I get the real truth from jk and thanks a lot for getting such a guru.
The observer and the observed is only one thing!! having a clear mind and be in alert presence the creation is in front of us!! we have the conclusion, that something which is happening now,is true!!we perceive,we see, having our mind in control!!
Jiddu said to me. I know how to know truth. I said i also know how to know. I said to Jiddu It is true because truth in all ways proves itself if not right now very soon after now. Jiddu said "yes"
Some people who listen to krishnamurti ironically hop on the “religion is bad” bandwagon because of his criticism of it, even though his teachings revolve around careful observation rather than assumptions
True. There is a beauty in religion but only if one doesn’t get caught in blind beliefs, rituals etc. beneath all that is really spirituality … to be meditative, discover truth and in that truth ( of discovering our oneness), finding a natural love and compassion for all … he criticised religion because he had a direct approach, and he wished we all too have that direct approach….. It’s not wrong to enjoy the rituals and Kirtans etc of religion especially for communion , but the real Truth is beyond it all - in pure silence….
plain talk; but the world is used to complications and sophistications; hense truth gets away ! one need to be a true seeker, to get familiar with what is !
I think it is possible to be free of identifying with beliefs and and such, to not see "the other". I don't see "the other" anyway. I have no enemies. In reality, there are no enemies, if you see enemies, it is just an illusion. You see, you just have to be very open minded and realize what you identify with isn't ultimate truth. Belief isn't truth. Experience isn't truth. Concepts aren't truth. Perspectives aren't truth. If you believe your belief to be ultimate reality then this whole concept of not identifying is just.... lost on them. It is something I come across sometimes. In fact it happened recently. This person was belittling me and condescending because I have a different "reality" to this person and he couldn't see outside of his belief system. Spirituality isn't truth. It isn't fact. yet this person demanded that I see his way and I was "dangerous" because it was not what he understood or wanted to understand. But really, it can't be proven so me trying to tell this person that my and his spiritual perspective isn't truth was just lost on him. This person really drained me, and tried to make me feel small, compared to his "knowledge" on the Divine, so I just walked away. I need to be stronger, coping with such demeaning behaviour really isn't nice for me, it brings me down. I am working on it...
@@IndulgentSamurai Sorry for not replying. I had no notification so I only found your comment when I was watching this video again. There is and was no "other", in my mind. Like I said, I have no enemies. Disagreements to me, are natural does not mean someone is "the other".. you can disagree with someone and still see them not as the other, but as the same. It is about accepting difference yet still seeing oneness with everyone. He was just demeaning me which got to me. Still isn't an enemy, doesn't make him "the other", it is about the mindset, not about if someone has different opinions and beliefs to us. Everyone is different lol. But we are all the same, we all share a commonality together. We are all alive on this earth together, we all want happiness. He just decided to insult me, I may have felt sad by it, but that is it. I don't see anyone as "the other" still.
How is it a fact, that in a division must be a conflict? How can we agree on this so fastly? Are we sure, there's no other way - how two divided things can cooperate? Omg... saying something is a fact is impossible! There are so many options how things could work and how they really work. It could be a fact for 99%, but not for the 1%. Hence.. what is truth, what is fact.. you never know.
František Heča How something could work or how something could not is in the domain of future. As JK pointed out, you mostly can't say a fact about something in future. But if you look at how the division process has worked out in the past, you see the way it has created mental barriers between people of different groups, how it has resulted in so much violence. You can't deny it, you read about it everyday. It's a fact!
It's a fact in the history. But he says, it's a fact in general. As if there would be no other way how division could work out. And even in the history you can find exceptions.
I can compare two pieces of wood, which one is better suited for a roof construction and I see or feel no conflict, just a logic and peace inside :) I am just trying to point out, that I can live easily with conflict when I am in Love. I can compare religion, people and do it peacefully. And maybe Krishnamurti is pointing to that. Conflict is always there, but it can be worked out in peace, harmony.
Anyone who watches news on a regular basis with a minimum of attention would never ask him this question. It is indeed a FACT that we are all prejudiced to some degree. It is so obvious that it's beyond discussion. Now, what are we to do about it is another debate.
...and when you try to justify that violence you don't see the simple fact of it. That's the toughest part of his teachings but it's the key. Seeing or observing without any form of judgment. It's a promising attitude for sure but the most difficult thing to do because we so want to be virtuous that we can't accept easily the fact that we are not all the time to say the least. That's what he means when he talks about our ideals which are an obstacle to the facts.
Yup this probably the first JK video that threw me off as well - what exactly is a fact? He goes on to say whatever happens in the past is a fact. Is fact the truth or reality? If so, he also goes on to say that an illusion can also be a fact - which seems absurd. In trying to dig deeper, I found a quote from his book, "A fact can never be denied." that doesn't clear things up a lot - somehow all of this doesn't add up for me.
Yes! Wasn’t going to watch this because I have no real interest in the question, thinking that if it is, “what does one know as true” then it merely an intellectual plaything, at best delving into nature of reality and perception. And if it is rather a specific, personal question to K (which it seems) then what is the point? Have some reason to accept what he says? Give him authority? Silly! So I was curious to the response and watched anyway. “Just the facts, ma’am!” There are facts and there is truth and there is illusion and there is truth in illusion. The fact is these are words that have a meaning to me, however, this meaning, or content of it, is not fact. . . .
Confusing terminology, by fact here think K is referring to the inner energy of the thought even if it is illusion. Neutral Attention with no bias in the round usually shows up illusory thought. Thought without attention is like firing darts in the dark.. Hypocritically Ironic though Ks judgemental blanket identification against people into various religions hints at an anecdotal self serving bias.
optizap What is confusing? It is very clear. Illusions divide and breed conflict among humans. Ideals, believes, faith, religions are illusory. Just facts.
Yes it is factual some people have misused religion to create violence, in the name of a religion, yet also fact others have become more environmentally wholesome, more compassionate, and serenely peaceful etc Ks view is partially fact yet negatively skewed as the clear light of attention shows.
optizap Only on the surface. But if one dares to go deeper then there is another thing that religions just prevent us from discovering as they are thought programming, basically. The self clings to them so freedom cannot be.
He answered beautifully. I love his honesty and discernment regarding religion. I quite agree with him.

A fact or truth must be seene/xperienced directly. It has nothing to do with knowledge which is why it can't be given to others.
