Such a shame you had to cut him off mid flow, he was speaking from the heart. I loved your autobiography. Much love to you and your family xxx
I don't think it was her fault - they have a running order to maintain, after all. She was probably prompted by someone in her earpiece telling her 'end it now', so they can run the next story
I 'd say he was trying to save other people from the ravages of this disease, probably MORE newsworthy than the next story. The treatment he received was RUDE!

Duranies have been sending Andy Taylor thoughts, prayers, positive vibes, and we're holding onto FAITH that he'll beat Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate Cancer! Andy must know that he IS loved by fans. He made Duran Duran a ROCK band.
Miracles can still happen even if its just a prolonged time longer than they gave him but I am still gonna pray that he wakes up one morning and its completely left his body free to rock on and live with his kids and grandkids and his wife
Amen to that! No weapon formed against Andy Taylor shall prosper! We must think and speak positivity into Andy and into ourselves. We can't let doubt creep into our minds! We want Andy Taylor and whoever else is battling this disease to win the battle!

To this day I've still not been cured, but "I'm too stubborn to die", as I've told my doctors. One doctor agreed that attitude can make all the difference. Andy, I’m a Stage 4 Cancer Survivor. My 3 sisters have fought it, taking my sister Mary about 10 years ago. Then my youngest sister got it, then me in 2020…given 1-2 years of life..2023 and I’m feeling truly excellent. I went to U of M here in Wyoming, Michigan. I’m a miracle. Don’t quit the fight. 👍😎
My heart breaks a little bit more every time I hear about his diagnosis. Sending healing his way and wisdom to his medical team to keep this talented man on this planet for a very long time
4 years with stage 4 prostate cancer and he's still here. That's amazing. Hopefully that bodes well for him. My mom was just diagnosed with cancer on Friday.
My husband had bladder cancer and it kept getting worse and worse. He was stage 4 when they found it and he started an all Alkaline diet and drinking Alkaline water and Alkaline water to make his coffee, he ate nothing but Alkaline foods. He still kept having the tumors after the chemo washes after tumor removal so he googled and the only thing that wasn’t trying to make money off of us was Fenbendazole! Please google this! He started this and took some vitamins and he has been cancer free since October! He just had another scope and he is still cancer free! His Doctor is so happy! We are Thanking God
We love you Andy! If you feel up to it, maybe you could make your own TH-cam video to finish the discussion as you wanted to have it without such rude interruptions. You have an important message to share and millions all over the world willing to listen.
I agree, if he feels like he has a worth while message for all of us, I hope he puts out the rest of what he wanted to say on social media. We would gladly listen and spread the word.
I'm sure if he wants to he will put more out on social. He gave some very important information in such a small amount of time and as for rude interruptions? He was cut short at the end, because there's only a certain amount of time given on a news programme. Let's keep it real, please.

My dearest Andy, I am no stranger to cancer, I have watched my closest family members fight for their lives while I could not do a thing to help them except stand with them and support them with how ever they wanted to live their life while they could. But at the same time, I am happy that you are LIVING your life your way, creating music which is therapeutic for you and anyone that your music touches. My brother in law was diagnosed with prostate cancer 2 years ago and was cured. You are right about the new treatments out there. Keep making music and living life to the fullest. I hope all these comments somehow make their way back to you so you can know how much you are loved. I'm reading your book and I just love it. Thanks so much for all you have given your fans over the years!

Andy a brilliant and down to earth guy met many times in early days in Brum, met him in 2020 and he was still as real and thoughtful person as he was back then, love you man . Stay strong brother.
Andy, you were very gracious in this interview, but I think that you were treated with a little bit of disrespect. One of the questions was inappropriate and cutting you off at the end was flat rude. I seriously hope that someone will interview you and let you speak on your time and your terms. my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and I really hope you beat this. I know what the odds are, but I also believe that there are exceptions to the rule. I’m gonna pray that you’re an exception.
Andy is the bad boy of Duran Duran. I love watching u at the spectrum in Philadelphia.Andy, I'm 3 yrs out of liver and kidney cancer stage 4 , don't ever give up. My heart is with u, prayers 2 u and much love 💘
A TV talk show should have Andy as a guest. They can interview him at his home like this interview was done online, and be shown on a large screen for the live audience. Hopefully, some talk show(s) can ask him some better questions. I know many would love to see and hear more from Andy, his medical treatments, his cancer awareness song with Ozzy, his album he's working on, ect. I'd love to know who all is involved with writing and making his album. I hope someone offers Andy to be a guest on their show where they can give him more time to interview him.
Andy, thank you for sharing your strength and love to us all! All the love you've put out there with your music and to your fans is sent back your way 1000 times over! Everything you've done as well as the rest of Duran are such a giant part of my life and that of so many others. My heart is with you and your family. Grace and Love.
Andy has a tough fight I hope he has the strength to see this thru. Imo Andy was the most talented out of the group, being a rocker in a new wave band. I always thought after he left that guitar sound left with him that he’s so passionate about and no matter who replaced him it was never the same.
Even though Warren Cuccurullo and Dom Brown are just as talented, they still can't top the original. Andy Taylor has a tough battle to fight, but he has loyal fans right here in this comment section, who beat cancer. Years ago, Ratt frontman Stephen Pearcy had cancer. Today he's alive, still kicking, and sometimes I get a chance to briefly tweet at him on Twitter!😀
You were the driving force behind Duran Duran Andy you brought energy to the band big time I am glad you are fighting it and carrying on the courageous fight - You were always a fighter and you will beat this ! In my prayers God Bless Andy X
God bless you Andy. We love you ❤️ and we're praying for you. Glad that you and your mates are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Keep fighting 💪🏾 Darling❤️💕
Andy, my heart goes out to you.; I've been a DD fan for too many years to count . Thank you for all hard work you put into for being a part into it. I appreciate it and on't ever forget it, it's not the same w/o you. Thank you for being brave and being so open; it takes a special kind of bravery to do what you're doing. I
Thank you Andy for giving this interview. It was so nice to hear from you. I missed seeing you at the awards. Your band has been my Rock n Roll boyfriends since you first came on the scene in the early 80's. God bless you for the ride of a life time. Thank you for a life time of party music to celebrate all our good and bad times. Big hugs! Michigan, USA.
This is heart breaking to hear, stage 4. Both my dad and father in law survived P.C.and both beat it in their '70's.I f*cking hate cancer and it feels even worse when someone Andy's age is given a death sentence from it. Wishing Andy and his family all the strength in the universe.
you and your fellow band mates got me through a very bad childhood, thank you for that,my thoughts and prayers are with you , keep strong , and i will always be a duranie x
As a prostate cancer "survivor" (a little too dramatic for my situation) I want people to understand that you should not ever be surprised by prostate symptoms. It shouldn't get that far. Any man over 45 should have blood work, including PSA, done annually. With annual tests, you can monitor the direction of the PSA. If it picks up prostate cancer, consider your options. I chose Cyberknife which is (allegedly) non invasive. I say allegedly because although the end treatment is non invasive, the prep is very invasive. You need full anesthesia surgery to implant gold "seeds" into your prostate, which are triangulated (mapped) to the cancerous lesions by the radiologist. The cyberknife cannot actually see the lesions but because of the prior mapping, it can go to where they are and zap them. Now, if you still need surgery for the gold seeds, what is the advantage of cyberknife over simply removing the prostate altogether? The advantage is the aftermath. Common side effects of prostate removal is incontinence (you drip pee) or impotence (can't get it up) or both. At my age, I think wearing a diaper for the pee is the worse of the two. Furthermore pee smells. An old guy smelling of pee? No thanks. My GF has a former work buddy that chose prostate removal. He's depressed with the outcome but won't say exactly why. I presume he got one or both of the complications. That doesn't happen with cyberknife. I'm not affiliated or paid by cyberknife. I'm just a regular Joe who is very happy with my decision.
I don’t understand why he went unchecked, allowing it to get so far, especially having familial history and watching his dad go through it. But I also understand not wanting to know. I’m someone who wants to find out when it’s too late & I have weeks. I can’t imagine battling cancer for 14 years. But I had a customer at a former job who did the proton therapy which IIRC involved the seeds. He tolerated the treatment very well & went into remission fairly quickly so they must have found it super early. I hope your treatment continues to work for you, for as long as you want to be here. People who fight it are heroes & tremendously brave. Best wishes to you
@@mystymaples8835 Thanks for your kind words. I'm lucky to live in an area that has both radiation treatments (Proton and cyberknife). I had the choice. Proton is more recent so one would think it is better. It may be in the end, but the course of treatment is much longer than Cyberknife. My Cyberknife was 3 treatmen's per week for two weeks and 2 treatments during the third week. My PSA was cut in half a month after the treatment and then cut in half again every six months thereafter until now it's barely there. 🤞
Love you, Andy! ❤ My dad's been living with metastatic prostate cancer for 14 years now. Operation & hormon therapy kept it at bay. Dad obviously got slimmer, lost all of his muscles and body hair, also deals with incontinence, but otherwise alive and kicking. 3 months ago, sadly, his PSA rose dramatically. In came his first chemo which, fortunately, did not come with any serious side effects. Now PSA is almost down to 0. One can repeat chemo, when it goes up again. And again. And again, until it won't work anymore. Then there is a more vicious chemo and the cycle is, hopefully, on again. The aim is for the patient to get old enough to die of natural causes, not of the fucking cancer. My dad's colleague wasn't quite so fortunate. He avoided going to the doctor to save on fees for health insurance (Germany), got diagnosed way too late and died very quickly. Please note: If your dad or granddad were diagnosed, you are most likely to get it too. It's one of those darn brca gene mutations you learned all about from Angie.
They just want the fuckin story and don't care about the thoughts he's pouring out when they give him the stage to express himself and then yank it back from him just as quickly. Yuck.
It can happen to anyone, regardless of your lifestyle. As a prostate cancer survivor (5 years so far) I recommend every male get a PSA test done every year, starting at age 40, earlier would be even better. It is a cheap test, doesn't hurt, and can save your life. Don't put it off, just tell your doctor you want it done. The resulting number will give you a baseline for future tests. If the PSA starts rising, you need to have it checked out, and as soon as possible. The cancer symptoms often won't even show until the cancer has already spread, which is always bad news. I got lucky. I was being treated for the usual aging-male swollen prostate problems when my PSA started rising. A biopsy found the cancer. The swollen prostate symptoms were not cancer-related, but it is why they found it, PSA test is the way to go. Good luck to everyone!
Andy, I grew together you, and your fabolous Band in the 80s. You ve been a great part of my life Giving to all of us not only the good pop music. You gave us great memories , and very nice exemple of strength. we experienced in family cancer, three times, and i only can say am close to you as a oldest brother. Keep strong as only you can do,I also read your book and understood many things. Youre a strong man. You know how to face the hardest time and put all your strength against troubles.
God Bless Andy! He is a fabulous guitar player with The Power Station and Duran Duran. A founder member of both bands. I wish him all the very best with his battle/treatment dx
I definitely send my thoughts and prayers to Andy and the current journey he is on. I pray he is given the fight to stand up to cancer. God Bless you Andy
Legumes, using the spice tumeric, & eating fresh berries are great for battling cancer. Blueberries are especially known for helping to fight cancer. Sending thoughts, prayers, and positive vibes to Andy, you and all those battling cancer!
@@paulasusan63 some foods, spices, and especially berries can help fight cancer. Blueberries especially help those fighting at least 1 specific cancer. We still have yet to learn the name of a specific berry in Israel that has the ability to be a cure for cancer.

I wish they allowed Andy to keep talking - it's a sign of respect to just leave someone to get out what they need to get out. I agree with someone below saying they hope Andy might record a youtube video for himself and talk about everything he feels he needs to. We will all listen intently. Sending you lots of love and best wishes to you Andy and your familiy x

In the future I would really like to play the guitar and that inspired me in a radical and fantastic way. You are a warrior, prayers for Andy🙏❤
I feel a little guilty because during the last four years I have been turning back to Duran Duran and I had no clue? Since my father was a life long smoker and has had a quarter of his lung removed with the onset of the same diagnosis it hits home for me. I wish him the best of luck and hope and pray he has the strength to keep fighting. May God bless him and his loved ones in this trying time.

Everything you've done as well as the rest of Duran are such a giant part of my life and that of so many others. My heart is with you and your family. Grace and Love.
God Bless you Andy Taylor.!!!, Stay strong.!!!, Thank you for a lot of really great music.!!!
Keep fighting Andy! Grew up with your music! Love , Peace and Prayers 🙏🙏
Prayers for Andy, full recovery ❤🙏
From a fellow Geordie, just want to send all the love and best wishes Andy to you and the family, and keep fighting kidda.
We love you Andy, and are all sending you healing energy.
Sorry, i hit the reply button too soon to finish message; to finish my message you are loved more than you know. ♥
Thoughts and prayers are with you Andy
you and your fellow band mates got me through a very bad childhood, thank you for that,my thoughts and prayers are with you , keep strong , and i will always be a duranie x
Yes. 👌
Sending healing energy your way Andy. Stay strong, we're pulling for you.
Prayers for Andy.
Sending all the love and prayers to Andy. Such a moving interview.
Love you Andy. Prayers and many more days!!
I lost all my myscles to fucking post finasteride syndrome thus year. How does he cipe with that
@@thejoyofcroy Don't know about Andy, but my dad copes very well with the loss of his muscles and body hair. He's happy to be alive.
Yes was a real shame they cut him off,he is a great guy and a fantastic guitar 🎸 player ,best wishes to man 🎸 a Duran Legend !
Oh Andy. Hoping for the best for you man. You’re an awesome guitarist and human being. God Bless you and your family.
You shouldn't have cut his interview short like that, to hell with what you had coming up, what he was saying was so important
They just want the fuckin story and don't care about the thoughts he's pouring out when they give him the stage to express himself and then yank it back from him just as quickly. Yuck.
Love you Andy stay strong 🙏💕
Andy Taylor is one of the best guitarists of the 80s pop generation and he rocked hard as well. Andy is strong and will get through this!

Legumes, using the spice tumeric, & eating fresh berries are great for battling cancer.
Blueberries are especially known for helping to fight cancer.
Sending thoughts, prayers, and positive vibes to Andy, you and all those battling cancer!
Dr. Eric Berg...cure for prostate cancer!!
@@paulasusan63 some foods, spices, and especially berries can help fight cancer.
Blueberries especially help those fighting at least 1 specific cancer. We still have yet to learn the name of a specific berry in Israel that has the ability to be a cure for cancer.
Lot of love for Andy...thank you for your contribution to the Duran hits and lots of love to you and your family x
My dad died from prostrate cancer -!it matestisized to bone cancer and he slowly slipped away from us. Pray for Andy - I hope he does not suffer in the end.

My childhood favourite band of the 80's. This is very sad, hope he recovers 🙏
Bless your heart, buddy.
We love you. 💛
Finger's and toes crossed, Andy...don't give up!!!

You are the master of the guitar as much as I was born in 2004 I heard your DD riffs and solos and solo career motivated me even more to listen to you. In the future I would really like to play the guitar and that inspired me in a radical and fantastic way. You are a warrior, prayers for Andy🙏❤

Prayers for Andy Taylor
God Bless Andy🙏🙏
Hang in there, champ! You’re alive. We’re all happy that you are!
The company I work for has the yacht drum now and I’ve sailed on her being a Duran Duran fan I was very happy god bless Andy Taylor greetings from Scotland 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Bless you Andy sending you love and hugs. Duran Duran were a huge part of my life growing up in the 80s and cancer runs in my family also have had stage 1 bc myself and this struck a huge cord with me excuse the pun!! I read your book and you are a lovely guy and I wish you all the best. Cancer is a horrid disease. Keep smiling Andy love and hugs Amanda xxxxx
He seems very endearing, his band mates and closest people must be absolutely crushed at the news, the diagnosis. May GOD's love see them through this current moment, The Lord strengthen their hearts, their grief, their relationships. From here to eternity in Heaven, hope, faith and love.
Oh poor Andy :( Be strong! This is so sad . DD has always been one of my fav bands.
Good luck Andy, as a bowel cancer survivor of 6 years now and I’m still only 58 all I can say is you have to keep positive and having supportive family and friends massively helps..
