- Growing a youtube shorts channel may seem an easy thing to do, but when you're first starting out your youtube channel, you have a lot to learn.
For the past 365 days, I've been experimenting with youtube shorts and the results have been mind-blowing! I got over 20 million views, man!
I'm sharing all the right and wrong things I did to grow my channel in that 1 year.

I feel that TH-cam Shorts are really popular these days because they are short and expressive, and people don't have much time for anything longer. That's why I am recently trying to make expressive content (and after I post it, I use a little bit of famester as well).

Rule 1, never do things with copyrighted content, no matter how strictly you follow "fair use" it will always ends badly.
The worst enemy of ur yt channel is copyright
rule 2: if u want to experiment things copyright content, do it on another platform

I’m being fr fr I looked at this video and it’s was at 500 views and was amazed when the video finished I looked again and it was at 1000views and 100subs then I watched other vids for two weeks and I came back to see if u where growing AND OMG 10k views and 550+ subs that’s amazing and ur community posts are blowing up great job man keep up the good work and never give up I believe in u and never listen to the haters.

@Istephen hey sorry for late answer I just saw your comment. To be honest, I don't edit efficiently. I spend much more time than I should, so I'm not the best person to ask this haha. But I guess even though it's basic knowledge, focusing on one side of the edit each time helps a lot. I mean ordering the plain footages first, then adding texts, then adding animations, music, sound, etc. Hope it's useful :)

I put so much work into making shorts and have never gone viral. 1 viral video would be a gamechanger. I also noticed how I follow all the steps mentioned in this video without ever having watched it to begin with. The algorithm hates me lol

I usually add them anyways, but tried uploading my last short without any tags, hashtags or even description, and it performed just like others. So they don't really have an impact in my experience

Well, I guess this platform is not for me then, because I like to create random content that I enjoy making. That was what TH-cam was in the beginning: people being creative, not people aiming to fit the mold of niches. Not even TV channels make the same type of content. There has to be variety.
well, even TV channels , yes they make variety of content BUT around the same context...you can make a vlog and the next day talk about your favourite book but you gotta be an artist who knows how to make a context that includes both
hes just saying do what you like and stick to it and make it as high quality as possible. if you keep switching niches you will never have a loyal fanbase, and nowadays if you do shitposts on youtube you will never get any views or watchrate so its best to make the videos as high quality as possible

Nice explanation, but I am facing a problem on my channel For now my channel is only for shorts Earlier whenever I posted any vid it instantly got 300-1300 views same day and then completely stop growing but now my vids are not Instantly Growing instead now the vids are on 100-200 views but they haven't stopped growing and they are growing everyday So I wanna ask that is this good Or Bad for me.
The same thing happens to my shorts and other creators I know too. In my experience, the videos that get steady views have way more potential to go viral.
As you said, videos that got pushed instantly usually don't got pushed to the right audience. So watch percentage and swipe rate goes down after a few hours, and algorithm doesn't push it again most of the time.
But steady views are usually keeping that consistent daily views, or even better, if the analytics looking good, they get pushed even more! So, imo that's definitely a good sign for your channel. Keep improving 🙂👍🏻

Ive gone viral on every platform (accept TikTok) and the one thing I learnt is to literally post 2/3x a day everyday until one takes off! Like Isaac said it is not about quality at the start, just get the algorithm to notice your channel first and then double down on quality! I've blown up 3 channels in 3 different niches, so no excuses guys...get posting!!!
