It really depends on how hard the ground is. If it's wet/muddy ground you can pull them out by hand. If you're in hard ground or clay they are very hard to get out. You'll want to buy or rig up a stake puller for sure.
If you don’t mind me asking where are you selling your carcass raccoon and what price are they offering? I’m also from North western MN and I can’t find a buyer to give me more then $3 put up. Good luck this season and it was fun visiting with you in Wadena.
Hough Fur in Downer, MN is where I normally go. I don't want to put prices in his mouth, so I'd probably just call him and see what he says. Great guy.
I do three methods depending on what and where I trapping. 1. Pull it out with the truck with a chain I have made 2. Use a dirt hole auger and drill down parallel with the chain 3. Stake puller and a sore back
Stake puller with hook set too close to the top will be difficult, set the hook closser to the bottom and pull twice, much easier. @@IronTrailTraplineSupply
First I've ever saw a double in 1 DP!
Great video Luke! Nice efficient way of picking up a pile of coon! Hope all goes well this season!
Thanks, same to you!
Coons an cornfields go together, I have never used the D P traps. Your film was very interesting and en lightening, thanks .
Awesome video buddy congratulations just found your channel I'm from northern Ontario Canada and we just started trapping for the season
Love the videos! Im near Princeton and new to trapping.
Awesome! I've trapped that area before. Call me with any questions!
Nice video . I never knew that one could catch two in one trap ? Bet they tore each other up in that one ?
Great looking country , and great looking coons ! So if it rains , and the ditches flow , would your sets be illegal ?
Thanks! Yes, temporary water is legal.
I am brand new to this, so forgive the beginner question. Are those wolf fangs hard to remove out of the ground?

Good stuff

What’s the most efficient way to pull those wolf fangs? I guess what I’m asking is about your technique or system.

I have a question how do you keep up with all you're traps, do you have some device or something
I use OnX on my phone. If you look at my channel I have a video on how I lay it out.
Question, why can't you put a trap within 50 feet of water?
Because when this video was shot water trapping wasn't open. Staying 50' away is the state law in MN.
How do you set on side of roads is this legal
It depends on your state law. In MN trapping right of ways is legal.
Do u know put a golf ball on top work great try it
Heard of guys using them. Probably works good, just seems like a pain in the butt to haul 200 golf balls around.
Luke what did the buyer give you for your coon?
$4 a head on 90 for the last load.
@@IronTrailTraplineSupply OK thanks !
Do you have a market for your coon hides?
Absolutely! I sell everything I catch.
You know your critters.
Thank!
DP's are deadly an you can release the toys
Try improving your audio.
My newer videos are much better. Appreciate the input!
