It is going to feel nice upgrading from my day one xb1 brick to the xbsx next week. I think this generation I will make the effort to get the upgraded system in four years time or whatever.

@@baeshinI would say that I have a solid gaming system. Far more so than the previous generation when they were released and the consoles are holding back graphical performance for major titles. Playing 4k games at 60-120fps is exactly what I expected and I am happy. Also, with gamepass I cannot remember the last time I bought a game which is a consumer bonus. The extra features such as quick resume do not work as intended, particularly for games which rely on servers. There are some other issues, but when I spent £450 on a machine which acts like a £1600 pc (of course without all the exta things a pc can afford you to do) I can't really complain.
@@OwenRhodri I also have a PC that I play some games on. I prefer consoles though. That said, even if there were no consoles, lazy devs would start blaming PC parts... "Oh not enough gamers have the 4090", "Oh not even gamers have enough ram, this CPU, blah blah blah"
I don't think consoles are holding anything back. I think dev's are holding things back. How hard is it to have certain performance targets for certain systems? Take random game. You have a build for PC, Build for legit consoles like Series X/PS5, then you have builds for weak consoles like Series S/Switch, and last gen.
Maybe that suggestion isn't as easy as I think. Maybe it would cost the devs more money time and money... but having solid games with good performance would definitely see them make a financial return on that time and money investment. maybe I am wrong though.
@@baeshinI agree, in 2014 I purchased a top of the line pc which was great, I could mod skyrim past recognisition etc. The problem is nowadays that gaming for me is just a quick escape at the end of the day, most of my friends have consoles only. Grabbing a beer and quickly joining a party with my friends who mostly live in different towns/cities is what I want now. I would imagine that the solution to everyone not having the latest and greatest hardware in the future is going to be cloud based gaming but this would have to depend on improved connectivity. However, I imagine that a kid unwrapping a subscription card at Christmas would not get the same joy as when I unwrapped my PS2 though.
This is impresive, now I had switched to oc aboyt a year ago so I remember booting this game and just not even having enought time to eat food before the hunt because the mission would load instantly. Consoles having moved to better storage will definitely have a great impact which a lot of people will enjoy.
I love this series so much! I'm really excited for monster hunter rise and im going to get it when it releases

@@p3rk4n27 Ive owned a ps1, ps2, xbox, ps3, and xbox 360 and ive never had to wait 2 minutes for a game to load. Switching to a pc with an ssd was a good move. And yes if the ps6 comes with a hard drive, which it almost certainly won't, im going to have to skip that too.

The day you do a test a ps5 vs Xbox series x then perhaps you should make a video . Im afraid you won’t like the results my friend. Engineer for 15 years here. Any old gen console vs a new one will have a similar outcome but I don’t think we need a video to tell us what we know already and lastly optimization has very little to do with fast load times . That is more for an Engineer to explain and not a gamer

No he’s right ps5 is 5.5 GB per second while Xbox series x will only push 2.4 GB per second that would mean it can transfer data faster than Xbox series x making loading times faster for ps5

This is nothing impressive, wait until they optimize these games based on ssd and not duplicating assets to bottleneck the loading time for hdd to catch up , so there’s no wasted time on loading unnecessary things
