What about peanut oil? I use that for frying being that it was either that or crisco or Lard was used for frying. And EVOO ? Those are the only ones I’m familiar with
From what I’ve seen, sunflower oil usually doesn’t have GMO in it so if you can find sunflower oil that’s expeller pressed and unrefined its an excellent oil. Otherwise I only use either extra virgin olive oil, expeller pressed avocado oil, butter, or ghee.
The trickery in the ingredients list. I've seen so many bottles of "olive oil" that when you look in the ingredients list its first ingredient is vegetable oil (soybean oil). Also, for cooking spray if it says soy lecithin in the ingredients list (last item) then it's not the kind of cooking spray you want, because it becomes cancerous at high temperatures.
All food oil is from vegetables (except algae oil) so if it needs to market itself as "vegetable oil" hiding from its actual ingredients, you know something is up.
I'm one of them lol! I used to cook with Canola oil or vegetable oil only... I was thinking it's made of vegetables, should be healthy! Lol Thank god I looked it up
Just to make it clear for people. Both extra virgin and refined olive oils have essentially the same fatty acid profile. 100% Refined olive oil which means no virgin oils mixed in is around 70% Oleic acid and 1.5% linoleic only a tiny difference compared to extra virgin. "extra light" Olive oil would be the closest to pure refined olive oil on the market as most of the refined variety of olive oils on the market have some extra virgin olive oil mixed in to give it a slight aroma and taste. So you're still getting some of the minerals and vitamins and antioxidants from the extra virgin as well. Regardless of the type of olive oil, it has the same fatty acid profile, with very very minuscule differences in terms of oleic vs linoleic acid ratio. 100% Refined olive has a tiny bit more linoleic but by half a percentage point. I wouldn't worry too much about finding the most extra extra virgin oil possible. It doesn't really matter. What matters is the fatty acid profile.

Laura Larrabee , hello, but do you know what CANOLA is ? It is RAPE SEED, it was in my birdseed, but due to its name , a public relations came up with CANOLA, which stands for Canada Oil Co= CANOLA, there is only 3 % organic canola, btw only 4% soy is organic, Cheers From NJ🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Here's something I found that you may want to read. THE MYTH OF EXPELLER PRESSED If my oil says expeller pressed does that mean its okay? No. Here’s why: Bottles of organic oil often state “expeller pressed” as a selling point, to suggest that it has been gently treated, in an extra-virgin sort of way. But that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Firstly, expeller pressed simply means that the first step of the extraction was mechanical. The second step was probably the standard, solvent extraction using hexane. But once the expeller-pressed oil has been extracted, it’s generally also refined, bleached and deodorized. These three additional treatments guarantee that the polyunsaturated fatty acid molecules will be oxidized in ways that generate toxins like 4-hydroxyhexanal, 4-hydroxynonanol, aldehydes and more. These compounds aren’t just hard to pronounce, they’re hard for our cells to tolerate and lead to mitochondrial uncoupling, DNA damage, free radical cascades and other cell-damaging events that accelerate the aging process and contribute to disabling disease. Don’t be fooled. (For more information, please read chapters 7 and 8 of the 2017 edition of Deep Nutrition: Why Your Genes Need Traditional Food)
Help. What is the difference between cold pressed and expeller pressed and Virgin when it comes to oils. On Europe we don't have expeller pressed. We have cold pressed an extra virgin for the better oils.
Gitte Clausen cold pressed i have heard is good because it doesn’t take away the good properties of the oil. No to refined and heated oils before they are bottled.

Mariano's in Chicagoland. It's now owned by Kroger's. Just hope they don't change it too much.
@@richardpomerantz9096 oh okay I just seen the labels and the simple truth brand and that's what my krogers has. I dont have a trader's Joe, shole foods or Costco in my area. So I stick to Aldi's and Kroger's.
Ya'll, there is no "s" on the end of Kroger. Look at the name on the front of the store.

@@donnatyler7777 LOL, I thought this was just a female thing to correct people's spelling all the time, we all know females do this regularly LOL!!!
Thoughts on steam refined coconut oil that does not use Hexane in the extraction process?
I would do further research. Some information isn't the most accurate.
Watched both oil videos, Thanks. Here in the South, deep fry with peanut oil is very common. How does peanut oil rate on Bobby Approved or stay away ?
You guys should do a what's healthy at Sam's Club.

I’m asking this question on a couple of Bobby’s oil vids; I never see it addressed - what is the consensus on Sesame oil? My wife is Korean and Sesame oil is used in so much of her traditional cooking. I LOVE the flavor but I wonder about it’s healthy properties.
*Thx 4 Giving of V Good Quality Information ✔👏*
